I never played racing games on older consoles because the graphics were so awful and I could never seen any of the turns coming up... not sure how you all could enjoy it LOL

So..., evidently you're like ten years old. PS3 must have been your first game console and then when you look back at previous generations they seem really primitive by comparison and so you avoid them. When gamers played games on the previous generation, they didn't see them as having awful graphics because that was the best we had at the time. A generation before that we also had the best graphics available at the time. Nobody looked at those games in those days and thought, "Wow, this looks terrible." Rather, it was , "Wow, this looks awesome" because at the time it was.

Also, I've played racing games on consoles since at least the SNES, and don't recall not being able to see upcoming turns. If we couldn't see more than a couple dozen feet ahead, nobody would have played them. We all saw the upcoming corners just fine.
