GT5 Needs more Race Mods

One thing I don't understand is why all versions of cars don't get racing modded.
For example, there are 3 S15 Silvias in this game, and only one of them will accept Racing Modifications. There are dozens of pre-2001 NSX models in this game, and again only one of them can have RM done to it. It makes no sense. GT2 was set up that way, so why isn't GT5?

GT5 needs to grow. If PD is still living in the days of the PS1 and PS2 then they are deaply mistaken. Every sim that came out such as FORZA, iRacing, even Need for Speed Shift (1/2) get DLC and are updated regularly. PD needs to adapt to the new age that has fallen in the console world. DLC is here and is here to stay for alot of generations to come. PD could make alot of extra money just added 1 or 2 tracks in DLC and charging us 2-3$ for it.
The last thing PD needs to worry about is DLC content that costs money. Doing that at this point would just piss people off.

They could make alot of money if they focused on their latest games for atleast 2 years. That would greatly improve PD and get extra money to fund GT6 aswell.
I have to imagine there won't be a shortage of money for GT6 development to make that an issue in the first place.

So you are telling me that acouple 100,000$ off DLC wouldnt help GT6? That alone could give us about 100 cars for GT6. Plus, lets be realistic, everyone wants money. I'm sure even Bill Gates wouldnt mind getting an extra 100,000$. Sony is a corporations. If any amount of money is out their that Sony can have, Sony will take. DLC alone can get PD 100,000-500,000$ which in turn can be used for the developement of GT6.

I have a few ideas for new RMs.

Nissan GT-R RM

Enzo RM

Ferrari 599 RM

Mustang GT RM (just add side exhaust to make it 20% cooler)

Aston Martin DB9 RM

This could easily be done as RMs are essentially non-licensed versions of the real cars.

Considering the budget that GT6 is probably going to have, no. Not really. Keep in mind that simply releasing a GT6: Prologue would likely completely write off any development costs a GT6 final would have, just like it did for GT5.

Also keep in mind that there are more consequences to releasing DLC than Sony getting money.

If there are additions to the current game they're still going to be massive disappointments.

Strongly Agree. I'm just praying they get it together with GT6!

I think the problem is Kaz. I believe he's a race car driver, not a programmer, who makes games. What PD needs is a leader who's a programmer/director. They need a focus and a foundation. Kaz knows cars, but I don't think he knows video games as well as the GT series needs.

Like what? What other consequences to a DLC release?

I don't completely understand the programing behind race mods but it appears they are individually tailored instead of a one size fits all. Guessing they just ran out of time. And given he wanted 2 more years, don't know how many they could have created in that additional time.

Paid DLC is still a dirty word in many circles. And the backlash that would happen if PD started releasing paid DLC before they finished fixing GT5's problems would be pretty predictable.

The RM cars are completely different models than the regular cars. All it would take to make an RM model of, for example, the Standard model 1997 Acura NSX would be a texture edit of the 1991 Acura NSX RM and different specifications. It would only take slightly more effort to make an RM version of all of the other pre-facelift NSX models.

All I know is in one year, if no new cars/RMs/tracks/Content come to GT5, it will die and within 2 years, it will fill with casual gamer and will be completely dead.

Yes he's a race car driver and also a graphic designer from a university that deals with cars. Without him the beautiful visuals and the details in the cars we see wouldn't be as good; even knowing that the cars is one of the main reasons the development time took so long. He's a CEO at PD also a senior vice president for Sony Computer Entertainment. I doubt he will ever be removed. If he gets removed and gets replace by a leader who's a programming/director it can lead to a big risk or not who knows. Remember the GT franchise made history with the first simulator on a console.

The problem with Kaz is that he makes some of the wrong decisions like the GTpsp which i think is waste for not focusing on GT5. GTpsp should have came out after GT5 in my own opinion. If they come out with Tourist Trophy we will be waiting for a long time for GT6 which will probably be decided for the PS4 if it comes out between 3 or 4 years i'm assuming.

Sorry for going off topic.

About the racing modifications, I don't mind about having a few more cars that can be later for a DLC like the ferrari, aston martin db9, and the mercedes sl55 amg which would be awesome to see! racing mods dlc would be good for probably keeping everybody including myself from running out of juice from GT5 :)

If GT5 had more RM, Vinyls, better damage and online knockout tournaments it would be a perfect game.Being able to have custom livary's would make way for unique recognisable teams, which would be great..
