GT5:P Special Events Version @ Le Mans 09

I've just arrived home from an action packed weekend of drinking and motorsport at this years Le Mans 2009 race.

Whilst out and about around the track a few mates and I took some time out to have a quick wander around the Museum to the left of the main entrance. On entering I noticed a small group of people huddled around a GT5 simulator. On closer inspection, I found this running,

Game appeared to be standard GT5 i.e there was nothing above and beyond what we currently have with the exception of the fact that the Circuit De La Sarthe was up and running.

Shame PD haven't seen fit to release this to the GT community.

Nice to see that the modeled pit is finally in there.

EDIT: You can see its not the retail version just with a different track, its not only still Spec II, theres the zoom function for SDTV users which is usually not there on an HDTV.
EDIT²: Lol just noticed the complete different main menu too, but nice that theres splitscreen.

Why? It's obviously a promotional version with just the one track. It must have been created when Prologue was at Spec II and it's remained there. It's not as if it needs updating for online play.

These have been out for a long while, in the audi hospitality thats follows the 24hr races across the world they have it up and running in there, and im also sure at the Nur main entrance they have one running the nur, but having seen footage from the audi channel, the graphics on there were a lot better, i.e lighting, shadows, colour of grass etc

so I expect alot more from the final version over these

i wonder why they haven't giving you guys a LM GT Race Car. Why an F1 at the GTLM event?

At the Audi Event thing at the Nurburgring, they had the R8... maybe PD doesnt want to show how the GTLM cars look like and feel like.

I think you can choose every car from Prologue except the Evora, California and GTbyCitroen (Spec II).

The F1 is the closest to an LMP though (next realistic would be the tuned Corvette, its pretty close to a C6.R).

I tried switching cars, but there was only the one available on the one track. As someone has already noted I think there may be some different versions of this special event software floating around some of the major motorsport events demonstrating the new GT5 and GT5.

Just wish PD would add these tracks to Prologue to gu a slightly broader experience.

No, its just an F2007. Why would it be anything else? I doubt they would even bother modelling the F2008 as it has little difference to the F2007 other than little winglets. Barely any performance differences, maybe for the full GT5 but I don't see why on earth they would bother for a promo version of Prologue in an older spec.

If you managed to look at the actually console they run on the "debug" or "test" versions (I forget what they're called) - they only run special debug disks. Or at least that's what I was told there last year.
