There are quite a few places for them to go in the US, espically if you head out through the plains, big-bky country, and the Pacific Northwest.

While I think NYC has its good places for photos like the Brooklyn bridge and Liberty Island, but Madison Square Garden is not one of them...

I was surprised the Chicago was left out of the photomodes, espically with places like Grant Part, Linclon Part, and the Navy Pier.

Sunset BVD may also be a good choise for LA, as well as somehow integrating the Hollywood sign, or possibly even some of the older and well known establishments throughout the LA area. An interesting new local would be the new Disney theatre thing, with all of its crazy shapes, edges, and glass (or is it aluminum?) finishing...

Glad you mention the Pacific coast (much less the West Coast), YSSMAN. One of my favorite cities in California is San Francisco. San Francisco has a number of locales, such as that winding brick road, maybe around the Transamerica Pyramid, and Coit Tower, and let's not forget the symbol of San Francisco- the Golden Gate Bridge. The best photo oppurtunity would likely be some area in which you get a great view of the city in the background. I can't think of any, but I'd want to see some San Francisco pictures.

Portland, Oregon is also a nice city. Otherwise called "The City of Roses," I'd recommend two different places. One would be... well, around some of Portland's roses. Another would likely be pictures of Portland International Raceway, maybe even feature Portland Int'l Raceway in GT5.

Washington, anyone? I'd surely look at Seattle. But the ultimate Pacific American place? Hawaii! Okay, it's not part of the Lower 48, but surely Hawaii has some nice ideas for Photo Oppurtunities. It can range from watching some girls play volleyball when all of a sudden, they see a beautiful car with pictures taken of it. The Pearl Harbor Memorial is maybe a nice place too.

If PD was creative, I think they could create an animated world so you can take your pictures. They'd have to be legit places to take photos, because I remember one time I took some photos of my ride in Shibuya, my car was pointed in the wrong direction! So the next thing you know it, my car was facing one way, and if the environment was animated, a taxi would hit my car and have the entire street owned!

Keep it moving...

Not wishing to sound rude, but I think you guys need to start looking outside the US. There are some stunning locations outside the US which are far more impressive than a brick lined road.

I'd like to see some of these locations included.

Pyramids of Giza
The Alps
Sahara Dessert
Ayers Rock
Hoover Dam
White Sands
StoneHenge

+ race circuit pit lane
+ multi storey car park
+ residental area
+ dock yard
+ all the tracks in the game with a better level of graphics

I'd like to have the ability to set the time of day, change the weather conditions and add motion to my car or the World in general.

TBH the possibilites are nearly endless, and I hope PD see that and take Photo Mode to the next level.

J8mie, I've already mentioned international locales earlier in this thread. So don't think that I'm saying "screw the world, America has the best locales." I do think GT should keep up an international theme. I think if PD can find some more nice places around the world (I'm usually aiming for the "6 continents except Antartica" theme). How about a non-American tour? This is going to be a long list.

-EUROPE-
Spain would be nice, whether Barcelona or Madrid. * Milan, Italy is a pretty nice place. Of course, ladies know it best as a good shopping destination. I know what you're thinking when I mention Modena or Maranello, but there may be some nice locations in Italy. Only Italian I know is my name in Italian- Giancarlo. Of course, there's nothing wrong with Rome, Italy too. * Paris and Le Mans would be sweet for France. * How about Athens, Greece, GTPlanet? Nothing wrong with having your car in the shadow of ancient Greece, eh? * Moscow, Russia is also nice for a Photo Mode deal. Imagine taking your picture around places like St. Basil's Cathedral and The Kremlin.

-SOUTH AMERICA-
Caracas, Venezuela is the capital of Venezuela, not to mention the home town of race car driver Milka Duno. I think also around Caracas is Angel Falls, the world's largest waterfall. * Lima, Peru has some old world charm to it. * It would be a crime to talk about South America and not mention Brazil. Rio de Janerio is a very nice city. Nice for getting a little sun tan on Copacabana Beach, taking pictures around Sugar Loaf Mountain or the Redeemer Statue of Jesus Christ. There's also Sao Paulo, which is also a nice city. Used to know someone online from Sao Paulo. It would be interesting to see maybe an Amazon Rain Forest rally course, but the Amazon itself would make a nice location. * Santiago, Chile is also not a bad choice for pictures. * Buenos Aires or Rosario are two popular cities in Argentina.

-AUSTRALIA-
Australia needs representation, people. * If I visited Australia, I'd surely love to visit Sydney. If a boat was set up, then you can have your car up front, then the Sydney Opera House behind the car. * Another popular place is Melbourne, where you can normally see the Albert Park Grand Prix race. * Adelaide. Race of a Thousand Years. Clipsal 500. Lot of racing tradition, so why not? * Only city I know best in Western Australia is Perth. Rather than face the Pacific Ocean, you're facing the Indian Ocean. * That's all for Australia... but if you can't look at these cities, Bathurst would be awesome. Mount Panorama to Australia is like Indianapolis to America.

-ASIA, MAINLAND-
I've always been confused about Hong Kong. Is Hong Kong its own place, or is it Hong Kong, China? You know? Outside of that, I'd consider the Great Wall of China or even be one of the few to take your car into The Forbidden City (also in Beijing). * It may be a war-town country, but Vietnam does have some lovely places. The majority of Asians I've known here in Houston are Vietnamese. Having learned about the country, places like Saigon or Ha Noi are popular cities as well as Haiphong and Da Nang.

This is it for now, more in a future post.

Forbidden City would be very exotic 👍
I would like to see more place like Grand Canyon from GT4
that your car is on top of the mountain with a wide landscape behind
helipad at the burj al arab is an awesome idea

-ASIA, MAINLAND (continued from Vietnam)-
* I can recall the 2002 World Cup within Japan and Korea. I'll get to Japan later, but there were some nice Korean sites. One I can remember seeing was Deagu, South Korea. I don't know if it's Taegu or Daegu or what. South Korea has plenty of nice locales, even the capital city of Seoul. I don't know too many good North Korean locales, so I can't comment. * India, anyone? Surely the Taj Mahal is one of the most wonderful pieces of architecture in the world. I've known quite a few Indian (as in the country) folk, so maybe even Calcutta, India wouldn't be a bad call either. * I know two Buddhist monks from Thailand at my community college. And Thailand especially has Bangkok as one of the more glamourous locales in Thailand. * Returning to the Middle East, I'm really digging Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Nice little city. I only know about this place by watching an episode of "Football Asia" where one UAE footballer was riding through the streets of Dubai in his Pearl White Mercedes-Benz (still can't recall which model). * Bahrain is a jewel in the desert. You know this, especially if you follow Formula One. * Last shoutout I'll give is for Malaysia and either Kuala Lumpur and/or Sepang. I labeled this under Mainland because I think both cities are within mainland Asia.

-ASIA, ISLANDS-
* You know I'm going to mention Japan at one point. Well, this is it, homie. Tokyo is perhaps my favorite city in the world. It's been rated as the most expensive city in the world a few times, maybe even once. I'd look for another Shibuya area, perhaps show your car on Rainbow Bridge with the city in sight. Other ideas I had were the Ginza District, Asakusa District, or how about I give you Wangan Midnight/Tokyo Xtreme Racer fans something to rave about for Photo Mode- Wangan B! If PD wanted some extreme pictures, imagine taking a picture atop a skyscraper, and have the city below as part of the background. Earlier this year, I got to know someone from Yokohama at my community college (she was cute too. Left for antoher college. Damn!). You raced it in PGR2, so why not take some pictures of Yokohama. Preferably, I'd choose that part of town next to the water with the big ferris wheel. I forget the name of it. Miyagi Prefecture is known for the Sugo Circuit, if I'm not mistaken. It's also a beautiful place for year-round natural beauty. My outright favorite city on Hokkaido Island is Sapporo. I would like to know more about Hakodate, though. Kyushu Island, let it be Oita. Oita is home to the Autopolis Circuit that Super GT runs, which was once the prospective home for an F1 Grand Prix of Japan locale. * We can give our own "niky" a little GT love and look for Phillipine venues. Best city I know of is Manila, the capital. * Indonesia has a real attractive place- Jakarta, Indonesia. Borneo would also be nice, though I wish I could know more.

-AFRICA-
Ahh, yes. The Motherland. In South Africa, you can look to the Welkom and Kyliami circuits. Of course, Kyliami used to host F1 racing until some political disputes, or whatever. * Kenya isn't bad for GT. Try stuff like Nairobi, its capital. * I've known quite a few Nigerians, so a nice postcard from Lagos, Nigeria with a nice car wouldn't hurt, right? * What's the best way to prove your worth in Africa? Try the Paris-Dakar Rally. If you can't have Paris-Dakar, then the next best thing would be to have Photos taken in Dakar, Senegal... usually the final area where the Paris-Dakar Rally ends. How about that? Win the Paris-Dakar Rally without having to run a single stage.

Just wanted to get that all off. What do I think about North American locales? That's next!
