a similar thing happened not so long ago and amazon sent me a copy of gt5p but it was invoiced as gt5.

It will not sell at that price on the PS3. They won't have been told the RRP.

Bear in mind that Amazon cannot increase the price once pre-ordered. However, they can cancel the order I believe. Think it's worth an order and see what happens.

That seems like a good deal, I'd just be worried that (if Amar's hint about two versions is correct) later on I'll have to spend a fortune on DLC, so I'd rather wait and buy the more expencive one with free DLC.

I'll wait sony's conference before pre ordering anything because we were talking about different version of GT5, a big and a smaller one in wich you would have to pay DLC. In that case what would happen with the pre order? They would have to ask everybody to pay more if they want the big baby, right? Or false?

We don;t now what he mentioned, it was cryptic and until official word comes out there's no confirmation of what the right answer is. I can tell you that official word hasn't come out yet and there is only that one advert on amazon.co.uk so they arn't pre-emting anything. The most likely answer is that it's simply a wrong price. Wouldn't be the first time.

One word of warning to those who desperately want it on day of release, Amazon dont do the dispatch early thing that some of the specialists like play do. the last game I preordered from Amazon (with fastest delivery) wasnt dispatched until day of release

That said, at that price I really dont care! Ordered...

That, or PD and Sony have taken a look at the popularity of iRacing and are going down the monthly subscription/DLC-at-a-price path--get the game cheap, but only get the good cars and tracks though a monthly subscription, or buy a track for $10 or a car you really want for $5, etc.

If this was the case then why would Amazon be the only people outside of Sony to know about it.

It's pretty much got to be a wrong price as you first suggested.

It's got to be Prologue, i think they just labelled it wrong, the price is around/same as prologue.

Tempting but I have heard some people have problems recieving their games on release date. With websites such as play.com and Shop to you're guaranteed to recieve GT5 on release date and in a majority of occasions the day before.

Im sticking with play.com and Shop to. I have GT5 pre-ordered with both to keep my options open.

GT5P? GT Mobile? I doubt there would be ANOTHER cheaper version of GT5 - seriously.

Edit: Unless you meant that GT5 will be cheaper - which again, is highly unlikely.

There were supposedly going to be two versions of GTHD. One where you had to buy DLC, and one where you had everything to begin with. That's what they're referring to.
