Can they get this sort of thing wrong? I mean how did they find that date?? If GT5 comes earlier than expected, im not complaining.

Play.com are reliable, probably one of the biggest Online Game/DVD/CD sellers around. Anyway their GT5 Pre-order has been up for over a year already, the date always changes. Loads of game shops have had pre-orders up for a long time, infact I'm sure there is a thread for people celebrating their pre-order anniversairy , but yeah the dates are never reliable, it's just to get pre-orders in.

So the short answer is No, this is most likely not true.

You would have to believe that if a game shop was advised of the official release date, that the news of the official date would be all over the web by now.

Hell no, Play.com are not reliable, like you just said, their pre-order dates always change, so how can they be a reliable source for information?

I meant reliable in the sense that they aren't a scam/fake website. Like I pointed out the date changes so they aren't reliable in terms of release information.

A reliable source to buy it from, yes. A reliable source for release date information, no.

Personally I wouldn't believe any release date that doesn't end with a copy of the game in my hands, no matter the source - even Sony itself.
