IThe rule with the ST1 cars overtaking us confuses me. Obviously we won't defend our position or make it difficult to overtake by say, attempting to be the last of the late brakers into a corner, but do we go off line for him? Say we're coming out of the final corner and the ST1 car will reach my bumper on the start finish line, do I deliberately go off line to let him maintain his trajectory for turn one? Or if we're in the middle of that sweeper in the tunnel and an ST1 car comes up our back bumper will he be charging and expecting me to go off line, mid-corner to let him past?
I think if we treat it like a pass for position, where it is on the overtaking car to go off line and make the clean pass, that makes it easier and less erratic for everyone. Obviously, if I'm leading ST4 (highly unlikely btw) and the last placed ST1 car is coming, even if I'm battling for position I'm not going to block him... he'll have the speed advantage anyways. I guess the concern would be don't try your Joey Hand impersonations on the brakes so the ST1 cars don't have the opportunity to make a textbook pass on the inside into a corner.
