GT5P time attack to win STi & Evo prizes

Tarmac magazine Australia is currently holding a global GT5 Prologue competition to win an STi or Evo X prize pack.
Select Arcade>Time Trial>London forward>Evo X or 2007 STi and see how you rank globally. The fastest Subaru driver to submit their time will win an STi pack, while the fastest Mitsubishi driver will win a Evo X scale model and The Evolution Theory book, which can't be bought in stores.
Visit http://www.tarmac-mag.com.au and look for the GT5 icon.
Though we can't win, we have put up some pretty sharp times to beat. See the website for full details and look for us online.

Thanks for stopping by, Tarmac-mag. Unfortunately, this means players must use standard, in order to be competitive. Equal drivers will be about 5% faster with standard than with professional, despite (or because of) the fact that the professional physics model is supposed to be more accurate.

Even so, I don't doubt some will give this a go.

ignore my current time of 56.313.
I hit the wall twice.
I only noticed that it was a fast lap when I crossed the finish line :crazy:

edit: improved my time without hitting walls

somehow i have the feeling that its just about getting the quickest time in,wallbanging or not....:indiff:

It says on the website that they will be verifying times, so hopefully some judgement about valid and acceptable driving will be taken into account. I hope.

But I used my GTP psn account so submitting a dirty time isn't allowed.

edit: and ignore my time altogether, was using the wrong Subaru :dopey::dunce:

yeah,your right there mate...i downloaded the ghost from the guy who is 1st( overall...),and he touches the walls in the last chicane and the last corner before the start/finish straight,this gives him the crucial last half a second....



i think the best time so far is driven with the subaru...its the more difficult car to handle(loods of understeer...)but when you get it right its faster than the mitsubishi....

yeah well,i gave it a shot just to see where i could get with a clean lap....'54.991 i could do with the subaru,which is 4th on the timesheets online...:indiff:

anyway,untill Tarmag-mag can confirm they will only count clean laps(his is not BTW)i leave it at this for now...

Im using Standard atm with the Scubee! im 31st on the Online Leader atm, So i reckon i can shave on 1 more second i'll try again tomo, the subaru pack looks way more appealing also im happy that an Australian Mag are doing this event nice to see! :D

with regards to wall banging banging, i doubt it would gain any appreciable time at all, maybe u can squeeze fractions of a tenth in the section immediately after T1 if u take that chickane full throttle and glance off the left wall.

subby time 54.476. shift gears 500 revs before the red light for this one. cheers

very fast laps congratz ! best i got was 54.98something im just not good at all at london not my style.the subaru gear change is something to think about some plp go all the way to the red line i change at 6000

I am Hoping Standard and PRO players will be judged differently.
Although If there is a price involved I would state only to use PRO Physics...

The last time I played standard physic is a few moths ago ... :odd:
So I did some laps with the Lancer in standard and pro.
I'm sure I will go crazy if I kept between the 2 options change :crazy:

Insane drifting lap !!!
