OK! Today, we had a visit from SONY in my store and the guy from SONY showed me this schedule where was stated that GT6 copies will leave Japan on December 2nd, which is really really late and tight. He also said that this is gonna happen for the first time in his career and GT6 will almost certainly not make it in time to everyone which is incredibly sad. Again. Just like GT5.

He also said (believe it or not) that GT6 is still in development and will leave PD studios just on November 20th.

This means we are about to be either victims of the fastest shipped game in the gaming industry or disappointed with a slight delay.

Kaz seemed pretty confident about a month ago when he said gt6 will be ready on Dec 6. So if this info is in fact true( as **** does happen) let's hope for the later

If you're telling the truth then that's slightly worrying, but I think you're getting TOO worried.

If they're scheduled to leave Japan on the 2nd, then maybe some countries will be delayed slightly, but I would only think a few days at the most.

It's not gonna be GT5 all over again, trust me.

If some people get it on the Monday instead of Friday then so be it.

Concidering that GTA V was gold on 26th august and out on 17th september, they need 3 weeks between production/shipping/sales

GT6 won't require anything close to GTA5 quantity orders. But GT6 is still cutting it close if this information is true.

really? Why did I think it was sooner :boggled: well... lets hope its gonna be in our hands on December 6th (or maybe even sooner :P)

I call BS ;)

It would be extremely hard to get the required disks made/packaged and shipped to all the retailers in just 16 days. It would be near impossible and very expensive to ship them from Japan in just 4 days and get them on the shelf at retailers around the world.

I think if they were really planning to hold onto the master that long they would have already announced a delay, more likely the discs are already being packaged or are about to be and PD is working on the day 1 update.

Well... Im sure you have better sources than I do, then.

Like a lot of others, I have a terrible time believing this...

Usually copies of the game aren't produced that far from the market they are to be sold, and also usually each market uses different cover info (ratings and other small text symbols), so it's also more practical to do them in different places (in the same place they would need to do several batches, what takes a lot more time then a continued printing line), same goes for the Blue-ray, since I'm unsure if there's a universal copy of the game for all the world (mainly because of the multiple language support, not sure if the US version gets all the languages supported by the EU version, nor if both get Japanese language support).

And even if they would do that, bringing the copies for everywhere in the world probably would be more expensive then the making of the game itself... since it would require a few dozens if not 100+ airplanes to do the deliveries... really unlikely..

On the other hand, I wouldn't be so surprised if they though that 2 weeks of printing would be enough for the launch day, since pre-orders aren't that high, and they can easily restock wherever is needed 1 week later. But I doubt the game will be delayed or that will be sold out..
