Ricky Rudd - 1984 - Busch Clash (Daytona)

Yes, his head is hanging out of the car. And, yes, he lived.

He also raced a week later in the Daytona 500. His face was still so swollen, that he had his eyes duct taped open so he could see to race. I have heard someone say that Ricky Rudd is tougher than wood pecker lips
