I would REALLY want classic NASCARs but only if they were completely unrealistic in that they all had the same exact performance as the modern NASCARs because otherwise what are you just going to have 16 Dale Sr #3 Wrangler cars, or 16 Richard Petty cars racing against each other because there are no other comparable cars? No, I'd want all of the eras of NASCAR cars to be able to run with each other like in the older NASCAR games that had classic cars in them. Unfortunately that kind of fantasy racing probably won't happen in GT.

Various eras of F1 cars. I really liked the previous poster's idea of generic Gran Turismo Formula GT cars for each major F1 era. Great suggestion.

I'm not expecting a whole lot of Content, but what I would want would be:

CARS
*More lower class Premiums, there doesn't seem to be enough to not have standards mixed in with them on a grid.
*More GT3/GT2/LMP cars.
*Some UK Classics, especially Fast Fords.
*Although personally i'm not overly affected by the lack of them, there should be some Australian cars for Bathurst, V8 Supercars or not.
*And although they probably wont show up again, some of the top tier missing cars from GT2; Espace F1, Vector LM, Venturi 600LM etc.


TRACKS
*At least one more Classic course, especially Red Rock or Grindelwald. Seattle would do too, but only if it includes the short course that was missing in GT4.

ANYTHING ELSE
*An AI or Sound update if it is possible/needed post release.
 
I actually have a couple of ideas for DLC.

I hope there is a Le Mans Legends Pack, which includes some of the older winning cars of Le Mans i.e the Matra Simcas, Mirage's, and Porsche 917's.

There should also be a Formula 1 cars pack, inluding Mario Andretti's Lotus, Nikki Lauda's ferrari, James Hunt's Mclaren, the Brabham Bt46b, Tyrrell P34,.

A concepts pack, with the Citroen Survolt, Mazda Rx500,BMW i8, Ford Gt90, and some others.

There may be others that I think of, but thats it for now.

The NASCAR fans need some new tracks so i would say any NASCAR ovals.

The NASCAR and Road car fans all want Watkins Glen :P
( I would say Sonoma too but is that licensing issue still around with that?)

I hadn't thought of this. That's actually a very good idea!
 
I'd like to see greater emphasis on vehicle customization beyond wheels, paint, and generic body modifactions.

Engine swaps, drive-train additions or removals, greater control over weight reduction (no stage 1,2,3 - more like front subframe modification (bash bar), Turbo size control, Engine displacement (returning), etc.

Pretty much all of this^

But I have a feeling a livery editor and more in depth customization are mostly due to current-gen hardware bottlenecks. It could also be due to development costs or time required to implement them in a manner as deep as I assume many people want it.

It would make more sense to swap the '89 MP4/5A with the '90 MP4/5B since that car actually won the championship, but personally I think the '89 car is the best looking of all the McLaren-Hondas, also with the best sounding engine (V10, which the 5B had too). Plus how can anyone forget Suzuka 1989, a big part of Senna's career regardless of the result. But hey, I only left out 2 cars (or three if you choose between the '85 and '86 Lotus) because it's so hard to choose only a few, but if they could add them all, great -- add the MP4/5B and MP4/7. That said due to licensing, who knows if we'll get any F1 cars at all. Maybe the Lotuses, but the McLarens might be real trouble to get.

10-15 important cars from each of the past 5-6 years would be a nice start.
Cars that created the most buzz among enthusiasts and the public.
 
Fiat and Volvo (S60 Polestar, C70, etc.). And the Aussie V8 Supercars, Holden Gen-F, Ford FG Falcon, Volvo S60 and Merc, with some tracks too. What's the point of Bathurst if we only have 1 V8 Supercar from 2000 (XR8)?
