Forza is equal to GT5 in that they are videogames that cost $60 at the register.
"Simulator" is an unfortunate choice of adjective in my opinion. An excellent attempt at engine power and handling physics will always be part of any good driving game (of which GT 5 tops all others). But, a "real" "simulator" at the level some hardcore fans seem to desire with regards to car detail, engine noise, shadows, etc... would require collisions at 200+ mph to go to produce outcomes no game ever will. Nor should it.
I find it comical when gtp'ers cite "simulator" as a reason to better details in area X Y or Z, but blatantly ignore the fact that damage will always be "arcade" or "game-ish".
"Your Bob died on lap 20 in a crash near the chicane. Please create a new Bob. The vehicle is completely destroyed. "
PD would be foolish to go down the road of turning GT6 into an arcade game. The potential is definitely there, it just needs to be properly implemented. I put in my copy of GT5 for the first time in around 4 months today and the first thing I realised was the extremely slow loading times. I realise that there are more important aspects of the game that should be improved such as the standard/premium car issue, but little things like that would assist the game in the 'fun' aspect.
Attention should be paid to the improvement of event variety in GT6. Where were rally events in GT5? A few special events just don't really showcase all the hard work that has been put in by PD.
GT6 should focus on improving what we already have as a simulator, not starting from scratch.
MuoNiuLaI dearly hope you're joking.
