And recovery increase with age
:ron:
Unfortunately true... I still feel like 🤬
R8 was quite a surprise... basically no understeer and it's ridiculously fast in the corners. I bet this thing would be very, very fast with some extra hp.
I actually like the F430, it doesn't understeer too much and you can even drift with it. The 458 Italia on the other hand still seems to understeer a lot in slow corners and it's pretty hard to make it oversteer at all .
The GT-R has ~ 1.4 front and 1.3 rear camber, that certainly doesn't help
I haven't driven it in GT6 yet, but the R8 would go well under 7 mins in GT5 on SH tyres with some power upgrades. It had awesome handling đź‘Ť
Yeah... the 458 has some entry understeer... but there's as much oversteer on the exits as you want. It's a really nice car to drive on comfort softs but you have to be on top of the throttle everywhere - VERY intense
And that would explain partially why the GT-R isn't that quick - though it's more on the straights I think it doesn't reflect it's power.

A few more from me... I doubt most of these will be anywhere near reaching the car's potential given how crap I feel and how rubbish my reactions are today

Z4 is pretty nondescript to drive.
The premium RX7 feels exactly like the Bathurst (just with a touch more power) - the handling is sublime for a FR, with zero understeer.
Thought I'd see if I could pinch my 1 series time back from Dennis and discovered I hadn't done an oil change the last time I ran it... chipped another second off. There's still a bit more to come on that one, but the car isn't really very nice to drive.
MP4-12C is very, very fast, and reasonably easy to drive. It has amazing traction for it's power, but consequentially, it does suffer from quite a bit of understeer in the high speed corners. Just a matter of managing entry speed then you can really hammer the throttle on the exits in 3rd gear or higher... I think there's a pile of time left in this one and it might break in to the 6.4X's in the hands of a proper 'Ring expert.
The F1 GTR race car isn't the sort of thing I drive very often, but I thought I'd try something different. It took a good while to adjust to the extra speed and grip, but it's a very easy car to drive once you do adjust. LOADS of grip, incredible brakes, lovely and stable... more time left in this one.
