So it looks like we have to buy the LMP cars?
Yes, unfortunately. You'd like to think that after rarely spending a penny by using all of the prize cars you get, you'll have to blow your hard-earned Credits away in a car just to pass a mandatory championship to advance. A LMP is well worth the investment though, but still...

Thank christ, if the NASCAR given wasn't a choice and wasn't Jeff Gordon, I was about to flip 🤬

So until now you can win only 31 cars, which is a bit odd to me, while im expecting loads more?!
Also, until you arrive at the last race of A international, where you need a Le Mans race car, and you are to soon there, you need to save up for one to actually beat those races...
I'm going to be mad if the 15th anniversary r18 is not eligible.

Are the prices listed next to the prize cars their worth or selling price?
Those look like dealership prices to me. Selling a car gets you 33.33% of the original price.
Should be ok, the prius touring car is in the one make race but 80pps over regulation.
The 15th AE GT 86 is not eligible. They screwed up

R18 is the best LMP in the game, I think. Looks amazing too.

I was deciding between the Mazda 787b and the Sauber C9 in the end, not a big fan of the R18 cockpit, at least not the couple times I drove it on Goodwood. But I couldn't resist the look on the Mazda 787b's face. :sly:

After all it's one of my favorite cars of all time. I completely destroyed the GT World Championship with it! :D

You also might want to test the toyota 88c-v, it and the Sauber C-9 are the top 2 fastest! At least in gt5 they were

I havent checked whether the R18 aniversary is able to use, but I surely hope you can!!
I bought the Bentley Speed 8, that will do it, completely spent all my won credits though.... :S

Indeed the GT86 aniversary need to be bought,to win those brand races.

Must buy cars for Career Mode without car packs/Anniversary cars:
Kart 100
Kart 125
Kart 125 shifter

(Holy moly! Was that needed? Not one, not two, but three "must buy" karts?)

Must buy cars for One Make events without car packs/Anniversary cars:
If you didn`t buy a Prius for career mode (because you used your Tesla): Prius

Im quite sure you need a Le Mans car to beat the Gran Turismo World Championship (the championship before entering S rank races), so you need to buy 1, I bought the Bentley Speed 8 for it. My Mercedes SLS GT3 aniversary was a little too slow, I merely tested it shortly though...

i tried looking for the answer to this question for a while, but i didn't find anything. can we obtain a prize car from a racing series more than once to help with money grinding, like GT4 and before? I know License prize cars are obtainable only once, and in GT5 they made all prize cars like this.
Thanks!

no one? :(
