GT6 Q/A

Just have a few questions regarding maintenance.

Do cars still need to be driven 300 km to be broken in? If you haven't driven that far, does it get broken in at all?

What does bodywork repair option do in GT Auto? Does it repair visual damage? If so, does that mean visual damage stays after a race?

How quickly does your chassis deteriorate (I believe they have an indicator for it in GT Auto now)? Does the price for restoration still vary by car (half the car's price up to $500k for >$1m cars)?

Thanks.

Hello @BHRxRacer.
Just one thing! What do you use to capture video/sound signal from your PS3 to your PC? Because I wanna use my laptop monitor to play in bed...It is possible?

Can we add driving lights to the stabdard catrs like this? Or to the BMW 2002 TURBO?

@BHRxRacer, I noticed in the videos that the R8 and Peugeot didn't have a cockpit view. Is this for all the standard LMP and C class cars?

Can you tell me if there any classification to the race cars in arcade mode ex:can you race all gt3 or all prototypes

I feel like this is a really specific question but anyway to know the weight distribution (front/rear) of the 2005 and 2007 Mustang GT, 2013 boss 302 and Shelby GT500.

I guess I could have missed the answer to this somewhere, but I did do some searching and look at several videos, so here goes:

In the pre-race menu (in A-spec/career mode), is there any way to tell how much PP your opponents have, and what tires they're using? I know there's a limit to what tires you can use and how much PP you can have, but it would be nice to know what your opponents have, for those who want a close race without too much trial and error, and without having to start the race and then quit to look at opponents tires in the replay (which was the only way to know in GT5). In GT5 I would want to always use slightly harder tires than my opponents, to make up for their early braking / poor cornering speed, and it would be nice to be able to do that from the start in 6.

That is because both the cars were AI, the same thing happens in GT5, when viewing a replay from an AI's car, there isn't a cockpit option, no matter what the car is. It's just so it has to only load 1 detailed cockpit ;)

@@BHRxRacer, Thanks for the great work keeping this up to date and for all the effort put into it:tup:

But my question is, can 4wd cars be converted to 2wd?

One final question for BHRxRacer, and then we'll leave you alone to enjoy the game once we get our copies tomorrow

Does Max Speed Test still exist? All 400m, 1000m and Max Speed? If so, does it contribute to breaking in your car (it didn't in GT5)?

Sorry guys I've been incredibly busy I haven't even had time to play. Not sure you're interested in the story.

I've started downloading the 1.01 patch now. I'll give you notes as soon as I can.

Max. I drove a car is 120km. All the cars seem fine until now.

I use an HD-PVR2 (it's ****, don't buy it) and it won't let you play on your laptop because there's a delay. There's also no way you play using an HDMI cable going out of your PS3 because Sony encrypts that. Best you can do is use composite cable and settle for lower res.

Nope

**Tried updating. Crashes at 9#%. It adds nothing so I guess I'll just skip.

Guys can you tell me it's possible to drive cabri/spider cars without a roof? For example in GT5P if you drive Ferrari California it's without a roof, but you can't do this in GT5. How about GT6?

Actually, you can drive a Ferrari California without a roof in GT5 but, if you do the modification to it to add the rear spoiler, the roof is permanent! Well, unless you go back to GTAuto and revert the spoiler to it's original status!

But it's a good point you bring up. I would also like to know how it works in GT6 because of the few extra convertibles added to the game! For example, the BMW 507. Looks good without the roof and would great in photos tearing around Monza, but if it is raining, does the roof go up (pre race)?

Don't worry!
Now that the game come out, I think that many of us don't care much about the questions they asked you (no offence).
But thanks anyway....We have learned a lot thanks to you...

@HomoLuden if you want a capture card, the Elgato and AverMedia Live Gamer Portable are both really good. But they're expensive and require Windows 7 or higher

I'm gonna see that. Thanks.
