I am fairly pumped up about Friday, but this roller coaster of emotions is bizarre.

It's because in quieter times the negative(depressed) critics are in the vocal majority, whereas with all this hype around the launch event and its new information a lot more lurkers and generally GT fans are lured to the forums to inform themselves thus being then in the vocal majority.

Also I think many people who you describe as depressed were caught on the hype train and changed their opinion accordingly, which is a thing people on the internet like to do.

ooo looks liek a workaround to the entire Panoz-Nissan hoohah, I could've known. Brilliant, PD.

I wonder if that 2013 is the full canopy version?!

Also, that Nurburgring video looks like the track has been completely redone... The elevation changes are much more extreme unless its the lighting or POV... Aesthetically it's all the same. The biggest thing I noticed my first trip to the ring was how abrupt the elevation changes were compared to the more smoothed out game versions...

Awesome, I didn't see that. Quite minor but a very positive feature to have. Quick way to see who's the fastest on the track at any given moment.

Forza logic- we'll put 200 cars in the game, but you have to pay $20 extra to use some of the cars that have already been in the game, and pay an extra $10 for day 1 DLC after spending $500 on a new console

GT logic- we'll give you 950 cars, 115 of which are new to the series, and about 20 extra cars on day 1 DLC for free on a console you already have.

This is nothing new. Not just in GT community but everywhere. People are hyped up and any little excitement will send them soaring.
