GT7 & E3

My personal opinion on all this is that nothing will be shown or announced at E3, largely because Jordan and others have said its very unlikely to happen...!

I do have a suspicion, however, that something will get shown at Pikes Peak in a couple of weeks, whether it be a new track (hopefully Pikes Peak) or whatever. To be honest if Pikes Peak were to be released, I could happily wait another year for GT7, personally speaking, as it would take me that long to drive 1300+ cars up to the top

No Pikes Peak track for GT6.

Tracks aren't happening anymore for GT6. Kaz himself put it bluntly. When asked on it's inclusion in GT7, he wasn't sure.

We know what that means coming from Kaz. Like how he wasn't sure if the course maker would be ready on day 1 for GT6, or how he wasn't sure whether they'd have time to fix the sounds for GT6. So basically, whenever I read that Kaz isn't sure about something, I'll just take that as a no. lol.

Well, only one of those things is technically a no so I guess it's a 50/50 split on Pikes Peak happening.

I wish you were all as patient as I am. Just imagine if you were waiting on a tidbit of news about Silent Hill(s), like thousands of anxious fans around the world. ;)

I'm betting that if GT Sport is real, that (whoever posted about it) is right, and it's a FIA oriented racing game along the lines of Assetto Corsa and P CARS. It could be as limited or extravagant as PD wants it to be, including work done on GT7. Some of us here have said similar things, and it would be a great platform for FIA Championships. It could begin with GT6 Special Events, and when GTS is finished, it could migrate to PS4. And it doesn't have to be at E3. I could see SONY having a little conference at E3 dealing with the FIA Championship events and what we can look forward to, or it could be at its own deal, associated with some automotive or gaming event.

I speculated in another thread that GT Sport could be a separate series, like Forza Horizon (ugh), released in between proper Gran Turismos. But I'm hoping that it's a one time offering, and the concept of sim style racing is folded into GT as a separate sim mode. Maybe it would work better stand alone, but I'd rather it was in Gran Turismo proper, with all those race cars and race courses available, and turn it into a grand, long, extensive racing experience.

By the way, I wouldn't be surprised to see something from Polyphony at E3. It won't matter that much because I love all kinds of games, but... well, it's almost here, we'll see soon enough.

Well the course maker still isn't in the game how many months after release? and they certainly didn't fix the sounds lol.

Well they did kind of fix sounds for GT6, just not for the entire list of cars lol. Atleast not yet they have, but that's not happening for GT6.

If there are no new tracks and the FIA Mode is revealed, could be a Formula Renault series. There only need to be one car with 16+ liveries. Especially if this is a download trial.

GT6 is a franchise, eh? Sory, I had to point that out...

Consider me skeptical that they'll spend any significant amount of time talking about GT6 and the FIA thing at E3 without dropping some sort of morsel of info regarding how it'll tie into the future of GT. Not saying you're wrong, just that if you're right we might also expect a small tidbit regarding GT7... even if it's just an extremely small and vague hint.
This I totally agree with. Sony and PD have no choice. GT being the biggest franchise released on a console just weeks before the next gen console comes out .... and you make no mention of working on the new console. Even with a new wheel from Logitech that'll work with competing games.

Well I'll say this, if NOTHING is announced for PS4, that would mean that Kaz is in DEFINITELY in France at La Sarthe for the weekend.

Nevermind ...

Read some other posts, aaaaaaaaand it looks like Sony/PD are going the "not a good business move man" route. 2 years of next gen and literally NOTHING to showcase while the competition heats up. GT7/Sport/whatever BETTER be other worldly.

Even if he was in France for the race, it ends Sunday afternoon and Sony's conference is Monday night.

IF anything were to be announced, it would be more than possible for him to travel from France to California within that time frame, but I highly doubt, as has been pointed out multiple times, that anything gets announced.

Been following this thread for a while and I thought I'd chime in. If what Kaz said is true about GT being released before 2017 then I believe GT will be shown at its own smaller event soon after E3.

Of course the real question is if it will be a full fledged Gran Turismo 7 or the rumored Gran Turismo Sport? I personally believe they are one in the same. I think PD will take the same route that EA took with Need for Speed and reboot the GT series. The Gran Turismo reboot would be the same GT we all know and love with 1000+ cars from a wide range of classes but it would also have a large tie in to IFA.

sigh....forza 6 will probably be out this holiday season. I am definitely going to get a xbox one for forza. Sony and PD are taking too damn long. Forza been outpacing GT games for a while now, I was just in denial.
Yeah. Because of Kaz going to say 1400 Cars instead of 600 in E3, Stupid 800 Cars, one of the hottest cars the Supra RZ and the E30, and the compatibility of livery editor for the PS4.

If he was at Le Mans we'd probably know already right? Maybe he's on his way to e3.
