Could it be the SSD’s manufacturer’s (Crucial) problem? Right now we’ve three people reporting issues with using the MX500 on the PS4, but no issues with running another manufacturer’s SSD on the PS4 reported by one. Granted, this is a very small sample size from which we cannot derive any conclusions, but perhaps it could be a possibility for further investigation?
Using it as an external is not really a viable alternative for me because of how easy it is to unplug the ports, especially when you’re dusting.
My notebook is an Apple Mac, so I’m not gonna modify it in any way, because, well, Apple products just aren’t meant to have their internals modified.
So I guess I’ll have to continue using it that way, and pray that it doesn’t happen to me anymore.
