Good morning,

I have entered Nations cup on Saturday - 2nd round. I have raced at least 5 times, from which I was 3 times at top 5, once even on P3. But in the total I have earned only 6 points - can somebody explain this to me please? I'm confused how points are calculated. There is no direct support from the game on PS5, so I don't know where to claim this issue.
Thanks

The number of points available in a race is based on the average driver rating for the lobby. So to score more points you need to increase your Driver Rating. There's a button in the lobby before the race that shows the points you will gain for each position.

You also only score points from the last race you do in each round. So whatever points you scored in your 5th race (if that was the last one you did) counts and the others were irrelevant.

Thanks, now it makes sense even how can some players achieve 30p in one round and others even more (or less)

Just to expand on this a little, the winner gets approximately 0.5% (or 1/200th) of the average DR score of all drivers starting the race. Each position behind scores approximately 5% fewer points.

In a GT1 lobby where everyone is a 100,000 DR driver, the win is worth ~500pt (although in practice I think the highest I've seen is 485), with second worth ~475pt, third worth ~450pt and so on.

By comparison, a GT3 lobby with everyone at 1,000 DR will be worth ~5pt, second to fourth will be worth ~4pt, and so on.

But still, only the last race counts?

So if i win my first race, i`ll stop there!?
That's very much up to you!

Note that, because the points vary due to the DR score of the people you're racing with, a win in one lobby can be worth less than a podium in another - even within the same single League.

I don't know what sort of level you're at, but it might be an idea to set a target and stop once you hit it (or close enough to it). 100pt is a good target at the B/A threshold where I am, for example.

Some combinations might suit you better, and some less so. If you're feeling good about the combination, you could try to get more than your target. Others, where your first race feels bad but also like you can't really get along with it, don't stress about reaching it.

And don't forget that the worst half of your final round scores will be dropped as well.
