You need to make it without using any skews etc on the gradients, and you need to do it in the way that doesn't bork radial gradients in Inkscape. Sorry I can't be more help.
thanks for your reply. I've learnt a new trick this evening and managed to get it done, starting from scratch.
Screenshot 2025-03-27 195900.png

Turns out I could do it with one radial gradient bottom left which gives yellow over to top right pink/red. The a linear gradient top left to bottom right, blue to clear.

This had an embedded image, which was causing it to crash my PC. Taking a look at the file it also seemed to have all the ways of doing things that GT doesn't like for decals including trying to reuse shapes and using matrix transforms for gradients, so I just redrew it.
you are awesome! Thanks!

If you look on content search in showcase and put in chequered flag, there is already a file that looks almost like what you want. i think you will just need to flip it over.

The one you are looking for is done by Darklythe 76

@Madmark67

Finally finished it.

It's 4 decals in the end...

They are all scaled the same, so place Mug_1, then duplicate the layer, then use replace decal and replace it with Mug_2, then repeat for _3 and _4, that way they'll all line-up.

Hi Matskimonk
That is absolutely brilliant, thank you so much for taking the time to do this. It is very much appreciated.

The best way of doing carbon fibre is a reflecting or repeating gradient, but it can be tricky to work with, and having it transparent limits it a bit. Is the white part of the weave supposed to be transparent, if so, what colour is the car underneath?
It's k3 matte

I think I posted it wrong last time. Hoping to get these done so myself and some work colleagues can have Kangoo races to relive old times.

Thanks in advance 🤙🏻
