Please post a video or share a replay.GT7 too hard especially on a FF wheel
This would have made for a much better first post than the one you actually made.Just wanted to check if there are more people like me who love the game since it came out but are now becoming more and more frustrated because the best they can do after lots of practise is maybe look at the rear of the almost last car in F1 for hours.
Why?This would have made for a much better first post than the one you actually made.
It actually explains the purpose of the thread better. Your current first post is just eight words of non-specific griping, never mind the three-word title. Why?
Like I said it would be nice to not only see the rear of the last car for a few seconds before it flies away like in ALL F1 or most prototype races after almost 300 hours of driving... So? Objectively speaking, it's not too hard. Difficult at times maybe.
What are you struggling with?
Are you looking for advice on how to improve or do you just want to complain about something you find difficult? Honest question.Just wanted to check if there are more people like me who love the game since it came out but are now becoming more and more frustrated because the best they can do after lots of practise is maybe look at the rear of the almost last car in F1 for hours.
That never happened with the older GT gamesLike I said it would be nice to not only see the rear of the last car for a few seconds before it flies away like in ALL F1 or most prototype races after almost 300 hours of driving
If you complain more PD will make the FFB easier. /sGT7 too hard especially on a FF wheel
It is more that I am looking for people who feel the same way. I think it would be nice if everybody could enjoy driving a F1 race with a wheel and for example finish 13th after a few hours of playing and then 12th after a few hours more so you can enjoy progression and not years and years of hardcore going for it for hours on a daily basis writing down schemes of each corner etc.Are you looking for advice on how to improve or do you just want to complain about something you find difficult? Honest question.
On the one hand you are asking for realism on the other hand you are asking for gamification.I think it would be nice if everybody could enjoy driving a F1 race with a wheel and for example finish 13th after a few hours of playing and then 12th after a few hours more so you can enjoy progression and not years and years of hardcore going for it for hours on a daily basis writing down schemes of each corner etc.
That is not necessary to be able to "beat the game".hardcore going for it for hours on a daily basis writing down schemes of each corner etc.
What will that achieve though? Group misery? It is more that I am looking for people who feel the same way.
Would be nice. Than when a friend comes over and sees the wheel he could give it a try to and enjoy it without only crashing for hours with a mini cooper driving 40 km/hIf you complain more PD will make the FFB easier. /s
Your wheel settings are well off. What do you have them set to?Would be nice. Than when a friend comes over and sees the wheel he could give it a try to and enjoy it without only crashing for hours with a mini cooper driving 40 km/h
You put it very well and that is exactly what I think the game should do. Give a gamification option and a realistic optionOn the one hand you are asking for realism on the other hand you are asking for gamification.
It is realistic that mere hours of practice dont make you world class.
It is gamified that you can even drive a F1 car at all.
But going into the 2nd part of the above:
That is not necessary to be able to "beat the game".
I think if the game developpers are smart and they are, they will read this too if only the community shouts out loud enough and with large numbers they perhaps listen and if you follow you see that the discussion is already leading to somewhere. What will that achieve though? Group misery?
Surely you should be looking for ways to improve your driving so that you can get past these events. Although there isn't an actual F1 event anywhere in the game, so...
I tried them all. Sensitivity max and low. Torque max and low etcYour wheel settings are well off. What do you have them set to?
I don't get that. First time I tried a wheel I tried VR at the same time and it was also the first time using manual transmission, and I was driving an old Porsche at a Porsche event at Lago Maggiore. It was extremely fun.Would be nice. Than when a friend comes over and sees the wheel he could give it a try to and enjoy it without only crashing for hours with a mini cooper driving 40 km/h
I tried them all. Sensitivity max and low. Torque max and low etc But be honest if a friend walks into your room and wants to give it a go for the first time, won't he crash in any race driving above 50 km/h ? The gamification of the game is set way to hard. The realism perhaps not and that is my whole point.Your wheel settings are well off. What do you have them set to?
Exactly what do you want them to listen to? You're giving us nothing but unfocused complaining.I think if the game developpers are smart and they are, they will read this too if only the community shouts out loud enough and with large numbers they perhaps listen and if you follow you see that the discussion is already leading to somewhere.
I tried them all. Sensitivity max and low. Torque max and low etc
This also tells us nothing. Firstly, there's a thousand different combinations of controller settings, so trying them all will take a long, long time. You're also not telling us what settings you're actually using day-to-day, or what settings you've given your friend so that he crashes a Mini Cooper (which one?) at 40km/h or 50km/h.I tried them all. Sensitivity max and low. Torque max and low etc But be honest if a friend walks into your room and wants to give it a go for the first time, won't he crash in any race driving above 50 km/h ? Famine has covered it but I don't get how the first part of your answer helps the second part of your answer. It is more that I am looking for people who feel the same way. I think it would be nice if everybody could enjoy driving a F1 race with a wheel and for example finish 13th after a few hours of playing and then 12th after a few hours more so you can enjoy progression and not years and years of hardcore going for it for hours on a daily basis writing down schemes of each corner etc.
I beg to differ, part of us will have fun reading and replying 😅 at least that'll be something. Not sure OP will be satisfied though but not sure he is willing to either.nobody is going to get anything out of this at all
I don't know what you mean by double posting. Is this when I want to add something to my own post? I click edit and continue typing. Maybe that is not allowed?Exactly what do you want them to listen to? You're giving us nothing but unfocused complaining.
You're constantly talking about being last in F1 races. There's no actual F1 races in the game for you to be last in, unless you're creating custom events, and you're not telling us why you're being last. Honestly, it just sounds like you're bad at it and trying to find something to point the finger at.
This also tells us nothing. Firstly, there's a thousand different combinations of controller settings, so trying them all will take a long, long time. You're also not telling us what settings you're actually using day-to-day, or what settings you've given your friend so that he crashes a Mini Cooper (which one?) at 40km/h or 50km/h.
Be. More. Specific. Identify the actual issues.
If you just want to whine but not actually take any help, nobody is going to get anything out of this at all.
And if you keep on ignoring direct instructions to stop double-posting (four so far today), you're going to get even less out of it.
There are multiple playergroups online and you will be fitted into those with a somewhat similar level of speed.I have never played online because of the ridiculous hardcoreness of the game and it is no fun driving last for decades.
that is called ASSISTS, have you ever tried them once ?the game would be much more enjoyable if there was an option, call it the realism switch, to lower the difficulty so that you can at least finish a formula race after so much time with a controller if you will.
I did not know that. Actually I did an online race once but something strange happened. The other driver was behind me and never finished so I could not finish ... I thought the online game was a bit corrupted like in the old battelfield games etc. There are multiple playergroups online and you will be fitted into those with a somewhat similar level of speed.
Literally: If you still are always last then you would be the slowest player that ever played GT7 online.
Perhaps you should have enquired then, rather than blithely ignoring 20+ direct Alerts and carrying on doing it.I don't know what you mean by double posting.
The only "formula" races in the game are Super Formula. They are noted for being a bit harder than other races, absolutely do not trundle around at 40-50km/h, but also they are not part of the career mode so are not blocking your game progress in any way. Super Formula is a Bonus Menu Book (#47), appearing after you've completed the career mode. And with F1 I mean the formula races.
Online was not mentioned. However, I've rarely encountered an online race where there's not at least one person disconnected or quitting (although I don't do many) so even finishing won't have you last...I have never played online because of the ridiculous hardcoreness of the game and it is no fun driving last for decades.
Sounds like you need to practice a lot more then.Like I said I can finish most races in normal mode with a controller except for the Formula, some prototype, most chili races, and most dirt races. This is after years of driving in GT and real life and almost a year in GT7
With the wheel which I recently bought I can't complete 90 percent of ALL races even on easy mode. I have got a T300 with the pedals that go with it.
Sounds like he needs to practice a lot more then.If somebody comes over and tries the wheel he also immediatly crasches in almost every race.
There's no such thing, really. You need to find settings that are comfortable to you. Zeroing everything out gives you nothing, so it's little surprise that you'd keep crashing with no information coming from the wheel to you. Similarly, maxing everything out just gives you stiff, lumpen, and probably overloaded FFB clipping through itself, so also not a surprise. What are the best settings? No torque, no sensitivity etc?
There's three levels of difficulty and there's three levels of driver assists too - as well as custom assists. You can even set the game to basically brake and steer for you...So the point I am trying to make is that the game would be much more enjoyable if there was an option, call it the realism switch, to lower the difficulty so that you can at least finish a formula race after so much time with a controller if you will.
Off course but with the assist mode on you loose even more speed in formula races. The car brakes for you etc. I find it even more annoying. Maybe I need to play more with it on the wheel though.that is called ASSISTS, have you ever tried them once ?
I am not sure what your issue is :
1 - the game is so difficult nobody can drive with a wheel without binning at first corner while doing 50km/h
or
2 - some parts of the game are very hard
Those are very different issues, and I don't agree with number 1 (because plenty assists allow a kid to play the game).
Number 2 is IMHO aboslutely normal in a racing game, and it can be mitigated a lot with difficulty settings and/or assists.
Assist are not the ideal solution, but if the car brakes it at a point you wouldnt, it basically comes down to you wanting to go too fast. The car brakes for you etc.
That is the thing everyone keeps telling you.Maybe I need to play more with it on the wheel though.
