GT7 Vs. GT6 - Engine Sounds?

Ever since this video of GT6 Concept Movie #3 showed up, there has been a lot speculation regarding the GT Sounds, what should we expect from the sounds in Gran Turismo 7?

Well I certainly would say this is the first preview ever which actually shows the work in progress sounds, however it should have been noted that the sounds such as these would not make it to the final product.


Would sounds like that be enough? Or is more required?
If so, a more aggresive sound?

Give me every small detail regarding the car shown in the video, too many cars will cause confusion, let's focus on one for now, I will show this thread to some Taku in order to help PD collect data regarding the sounds.

Nice try but nope, This is a data collecting thread of what exactly can be improved from the Concept Movie #3 from the GT6 Alpha showcase, that was in my opinion the most detailed sound showcased in the series, so where do we go from there? is it good enough? if not then what can be improved is discussed here.

This is not an overall sound thread for ALL GT cars as I have listed in the OP.

That's just a dub. We have absolutely nothing to compare as we know nothing of GT7 yet.

Some of the trailers might have had snippets of the eventual sound model for GT7. They were dubbed over the video still, but they didn't sound like (e.g. trackside) recordings to me.

Examples are the Aston Martin VGT "reveal" trailer, the very first Mercedes VGT trailer (had a distinct slightly synthetic sounding straight 8 clip at one point) and possibly others I forget.

IIII CAN'T HEAR ****, OVER THE SOUND, OF THE MU-SIC THAT'S DROWNING OUT THE SOUND OF THE CA-ARS....

from what i can hear, neither of them convince me that i'm experiencing a GT3 Z4. Those things are stupid loud, and just as (if not more) rumbly than the C6.R was.

but both clips in this video are clearly overdubs. The way the sound morphs when the external car flies by the camera doesn't ever line up quite right.

Not sure how one is expected to vote on the sound of something that has not yet been revealed.

As far as I know the only thing we really "know" about GT7 is that it is in the works.
I would also say that it is safe to assume that it will be on the PS4 and may have some kind of official announcement within the next 6 months. As of now I do not think any of us have any idea what it will look or sound like so the choices in the poll as well as the thread seem pretty pointless.
