Specter's been available for a few days now.

Of course I got one, and I've painted it orange:

I'm not Broughy, so I won't go into how good a car it is if your only reason for buying cars is racing (given that the only sports car you'll ever need for that is the Elegy, everything else is useless in that regard. And this is not exactly cheap), but, thanks to its rear wheel drive system, it's more than happy to let you have some old-fashioned, tail-out fun. And my God, has it been a long time since there last was one such car added to the game. I'd say the last car to feel like that was the Tropos, which will spend twice as long in the air as any other car.

And that's just it - I fear upgrading it to Custom will take all the fun out of it and turn it into just another Sports class car that tries to be a race car but is still miles behind the Elegy for a whole lot more money, hence why I'm holding back on it. I don't need more wannabe-serious-race-cars. I feel there's a dire lack of cars that'll take you from A to B in a reasonable time and allow you to do a Jeremy Clarkson around every corner on the way.

To me, this is one such car. And for that alone, it's worth every single GTA$. I'm even starting to like the looks.

I would post a picture of my Dewbauchee collection to go along with it, but:

1: It's split into three different garages (Sports, Classic, Race Cars)
2: In addition to this, it's only a Rapid GT Convertible, Seven-70, JB 700 and Massacro Racecar.

What's the fastest land vehicle in the game? I just managed to break 170mph on a Hakuchou and I'm wondering if theres anything that could break that.

The fastest land Vehicle will be the Pfister 811, on PC it's even faster then Console as there is an inbuilt kerb glitch in the car and the higher FPS the more it kicks in.

The Bati 801/801RR is now the fastest, whilst wheeling, at 131.5mph. The 811 and the 900R have had their speeds dropped to 129.5mph.
The regular Hakuchou is the 2nd fastest bike. Thats what the latest Broughy test showed anyway.

Let's keep in mind that Broughy only uses a completely flat stretch of road for his top speed tests. That means in any other place you're bound to come across hills and bumps in the road which will affect your speed.

What would you recommend?

What do you mean? What I'm trying to say is that flat roads will give you the most correct and consistent data. Bumpy roads and hills are inconsistent because they have too many variables. The stretch of highway chosen by Broughy completely eliminates all of those variables.

So then what's the problem with his tests? The way you replied made it sound like you were in disagreement with them, and that there were better ways of finding a more applicable test, such as average speed at any given area of the map.

Like Broughy says, his tests aren't the end all, be all. They're just there to give everyone an idea of what the cars can do in a limited variable environment. Of course, they'd preform differently under different circumstances.

I'll rephrase the question since this got too scientific too quickly.

What is the fastest land vehicle going downhill?

One dropped from a Cargobob? :sly:

But in all seriousness, I'd still expect it to be the H̶a̶-̶c̶o̶o̶c̶h̶i̶-̶g̶o̶o̶, Hakouchou or Bati would still be the fastest, albeit highly impractical.

I don't disagree with his tests at all. I was just saying that his speeds are in a controlled scenario and in normal situations, those are the top speeds you'll get. When you go out of those flat roads, then you can get to speeds that aren't exactly normal for the cars to reach.

A wheelieng Bati, Hakuchou, Gargoyle etc can reach insane speeds when hitting certain bumpy roads.

I remember testing these weird roads once. While an Adder can reach 160, the Hakuchou reached 185.

Honestly I was going to say that the Hakuchou Drag probably has a higher top speed than the Hakuchou, but I looked it up, and apparently the Hakuchou Drag loses out in the top speed department, so Bati 801 it is.

In any case, regardless of whether or not the 811 can beat the Bati on a bumpy road, the Bati will break all the top speed records as soon as it gets into the air thanks to the backflip glitch (or whatever it's called).

This video is a bit incomplete, but it's still very interesting to watch, and the ending made me smile. Enjoy.

Having never seen a nice one I have never liked the Jester. However, I was bored and had some money to burn so decided to see if it can look good. It does and i love it.

How dare you! I happen to think my one in Gulf colours looks very nice!

The Jester is a very likeable car, if and when done correctly. It's not going to be a better race car than the Elegy, but a better car for driving? Possibly.

Sadly most people don't care for it beyond the biggest wing, fugliest rims and most offensive color combos.
