I can't find a difference.

There isn't. I believe all the vehicles you can buy online, sans the supercars & military vehicles were geared more towards the online portion of the game as many of the others spawn, can be modified, & then stored as your own.

Does anyone have any tips as to where I can find a Dominator? I saw one while doing one of the later FIB missions, but I didn't want to give up the lifted Mesa that I'd gotten from said mission. I haven't seen a single one since.

Aww yes! Has anyone else tuned up the Ratloader? There's some fantastic looking mods for it and gets the wheels spinning fairly easily!

The only place I've seen them spawn is Paleto Bay. Mine has a wheelie bar, but can't do a wheelie.

The one you can buy has a larger cab than some in the beach. And also, it does not have any stepboards.

Has anyone else gotten the corvette copy? I think it's called coquette or something. I found the first one in the movie studios and only saw two more spawn while driving it.

I've seen quite a few Coquettes. Best area for that (and any fast/sports car) is the roads around Michaels house, and along the main road, the Hollywood Blvd copy.

I switched to Trevor and he was throwing a Lost MC guy off a bridge, then I took the Gang Burrito van. This was all in the south part of the city (Banning/ Dutch London St.). Pretty nice way to get the van. Now, if only I had a safehouse this far south I'd be all set.

Correct. The only van in the game that can be customized is the Bravado Youga (which gets some very funky customization options)

Drove my El Camino looking car off the mountain and it was so damaged that shop wouldn't repair it. Well, curious I did the exact same thing with my Elegy - damaged it as much as possible and LS Customs wouldn't repair it either, the doors just won't go up. So apparently there's a level of damage you can do to a car that even the shops won't repair it.

They spawn around Sandy Shores. Just cruise around for a little bit and one will surely pop up.
