Yes.. It might take a few days (depends on how busy Jimmy is)-- same with the VC and III recordbooks (although they are posted to less and less).

Be sure to check out the rules

And it helps Jimmy if when doing a large update (listing alot of records at once) that you divide it up into sections (as the record book is divided) and list them in the order that they are in the recordbook-- will save him from having to hunt up and down for a record entry and makes his job alot easier.

Good luck.

I don`t mean to spam, but I have a question. If someone breaks a record on the MAIN RECORD PAGE & confirms it with a screenshot or something, will it get posted there (hopefully), or just show up in the post where ya first show it? I`d like to break a few of them if I`ll get the proper recognition for it. Thanks in advance.
Just go ahead and post your record (with a screenshot if you have it and if it's a new number 1). Every so often, Jimmy reads the new entreis on this thread and updates the recordbook accordingly, so the opening post gets updated with the new records.

We've had similar recordbooks for Vice City and GTAIII, so we're just continuing the practice for the new GTA game.

I`m sorry for flooding this thread, but I have another question. Since I`m closing in on some records, it occured to me that probably all of the records were set on PS2. I`m playing the XBox version. Will my records still count? :nervous: Thanks in advance. 👍

You should send Jimmy a PM. I checked the Vice City record book yesterday and I was PS's xbox record in it, so it would count, maybe ;)

Yes, as long as you haven't used any cheats in obtaining your records it's fine. As far as I know, the XBox version doesn't have any gameplay advantages over the PS2 version, the only difference between the two games is the fact that you can add your own music, and the graphics are enhanced. XBox and PC records are fine.

lol true but your higher up than me ...... but not for long!!

I'm with Spuds ... I'll need an explanation before I put it up here to consider whether this is a SuperJump or not. You'll need a screenshot, too.

PS
Have you developed a killing method in SA yet? I want to know how the top 3 CR'ed got so many kills.

Hey PS, I have top secret strategy  for taking down aircraft, because I intend to set the record for planes & helicopters destroyed.(17,000 + and counting!:sly: ) Once I shatter that record, I`m gonna come up with a plan to get legit kills too. But as of right now, I haven`t got a good one. Since I don`t cheat, I`ve concluded it simply takes time & will power to reach some of the records. 👍

Cosmic
Yeah. I find it wierd too. Tought, it was on my none-cheat save :boggled:
I'll try to post a pictue of it ;)

I doubt that is a legitimate stat for a jump--there just isn't a big enough jump anywhere to get that far.

What likely happened is you that doing the quarry missions-- in the mission where you have to take the explosives to the air field in the big truck-- sometimes you get glitched jump stats--

What I think happens is that when you get in the truck-- you are high enough off the ground that the game thinks you are in the air (doing a jump) and since in a vehicle, it tracks your distance-- if you encounter a spot where the colision data for the ground is slightly glitched-- then you may be close enough to the ground for it to count as a landing--hence the jump (you probably didn't notice the stunt bonus)--- if you exit the vehicle before encountering some "high ground" to end the jump, the jump is aborted.... I had this happen in my game, didn't want the stats in my game, so had to reload-- I had to redo a fair amount-- it had been a while since I saved-- it happened to a few of us.

As the resident VC killer, finding a good killing spot is tough in SA-- there are some good spots, but the problem is keeping the victims spawning-- you will be hard pressed to get more then 2500 per hour in SA--- I think Small Fryz came up with the fastest method (not sure if I remembering correctly if it was him)-- blowing up vehicles by flying up and down the SF freeway in a Hunter at 5 stars (get alot of FBI ranchers with 4 people in each).... I've experimented without much luck in San Andreas--- 2000 in an hour is about my best--- on a police bike doing circles around the four dragons casino firing forward with an SMG-- lots of peds in this area.

Woah, Matt's girlfriend is on here... That's not as cool as jack's mom, though! :D

I dont want any PC records on this record book, way to easy to cheat and edit config files for cars etc.

As it is with PS2 its possible to get no traffic and always sunny so its possible to beat some records even more with those cheats on. But i think PC version has way to many ways to cheat and is way easier than ps2.

As for the huge 4xx m jump its impossible to get that with any normal jumps.

I dont think it happened during the quarry mission. But I do rememeber that I was playing around in a Sanchez in that area and it could happened there. I did a couple of jumps tought. Well, if you say it's a glitch I belive you since when I look at your guys records, they are over 100 meters shorter.

;)

Best Time in BMX - 1:57
Number of Disastrous Dates - 4
Longest Wheelie Time (without Bicycle) - 1:21

ps. I'll be updating some more records soon in this post.

Edited.

I believe most (if not all) the jump records were done off Chilliad using a fast car with Nitro-- mine was anyway-- if you can find a farther jump then that, I'd be surprised.

The San Andreas rhino doesn't jump like the VC and III one did.

I doubt you could get that jump with a Sanchez.....

Also, its not the quarry that causes the glitch-- its the dump truck-- since CJ is so high off the ground when inside it.... I think the game counts the jump whenever CJ (not the vehicle) is so far off the ground when in a vehicle.....

Agreed. I think Spuds came up with a good enough point. Plus, I know about the Quarry glitch as it's happened to me before. I'm keeping the record out.

I just go into the Dance Club in Los Santos (haven't tried the others, assuming they're the same though), go up to the top floor, look down through the window thing upstairs and shoot everyone. Looking away from the dance floor and looking back will respawn a fair amount of people, and once you hit three stars Cops will start swarming the building, but only Cops. They have dodgy aiming, so they rarely hit you, and I duck when reloading. Continue doing this and I'll have anywhere between 1,000 and 1,500 kills within an hour. It's so easy to do, too, so it doesn't take too much concentration, just bullets.
