If you want accurate game clock on the PC, then run with Frame-Limiter ON
Timers and clocks slow down with higher FPS, - I made a thorough test of that for the PC records thread here.
Shouldn't make much difference though because cars/bikes gets similarly slower (airplanes is a different story though).

Although I use the PC screen to play, I do so via a PS2 and PCTV thus your advice is of no help to me.:(

For timing on PC, simply take 2 screenshots (start and finish) with the HUD enabled and subtract the time. You can use fraps (www.fraps.com) for easy screenshots.

Or start at a known time (00:00), and just glance at the ingame time when you reach the finish line.

Btw. I'm assuming that the finish on this race is the parking space in front of the restaurant (clearly marked "Customer Parking") not the big one next to it, right ???

I was assuming the large carpark at first, but now that you say this I'm not so sure. Doesn't make a big difference though when approaching from the south.

Oh great, my controller is screwed up, the stick has come loose so I have to click it back in everytime it comes loose, I might turn it open and use some superglue but playing at the moment is a pain in the ass :ouch:

The Elegy is right there west of Cranberry station, in Wang Cars.

Take it to the closest safe house, near the Burger Shot, and save it in your garage there.

Or, if you haven't unlocked that yet, just drive along Chinatown. The Triad people all drive Elegys (Elegies?).

Just want to check something before submitting my time.

This is a no-holds-barred race from A to B?

As long as you start with an unmodified version of the specified car, and finish in the same unmodified car having used no cheats, anything goes?

So you can go the whole race off-road, roll the car a few times, visit a pay'n'spray, cross the finish line in a burning wreck and still be a contender?

Just checking as I have never taken part in a WRS before. In fact I haven't even poked my head in the WRS forums.

Yes, but it'll slow you down. ;)

Don't I know it.
My best run was nothing like that, but I have rolled and wrecked the car on some of my failed attempts.
I'm sure there's still a few seconds I could knock off my time, but a perfect run is nigh on impossible with all the traffic in the middle of Los Santos.

It's hard to compete when there are no times to compete against.

Anyways is the deadline at the beginning of the 10th, or the end of the 10th?

...and is that Australian time, GMT, or Alaskan time?

I submitted mine 18 hours ago to be on the safe side.

I assume so, but he hasn't posted in the GTA forum for ...10 days now.
Perhaps there's something else keeping him busy at the moment.

If we don't hear from him in, say 48 hours, and nobody has any objections, I could put up an idea I have for the next run.

Sorry I'm late, I didn't get many submissions. Despite that the results will be up in the next three minutes :)
