GTA5 announced and in (Los Santos) San Andreas!!!!

They just released the trailer and I am so excited. Finally back to the roots of the series. San Andreas! Lets just hope we can buy houses and do everything else I have been asking for.

I will put my wishlist here and update as its confirmed.

Features I want for GTA5

1. Play the entire campaign as co-op!! (full drop in drop out co-op campaign)

2. Buy cars

3. Customize the way the main character looks (his or her actual physical appearance)

4. Customize cars

5. Customize your homies appearance and vehicles

6. Buy houses especially houses with helicopters on them

7. Drive monster trucks

8. Use a parachute and parachute from anything at any time

9. Fly airplanes and jets [confirmed]

10. Drive quads

11. Buy bikes

12. Buy boats

13. Play demolition derby

14. Money off the properties you buy

15. Fight in a fight club

16. All the fun from Vice City / San Andreas and Saints Row 2/3

17. Fly helicopters

Yup same here. Vice City and San Andreas were both my favorite games of the series. I just hope we can do all the fun stuff I listed in the first post. I cant wait until people dissect that video and find more details.

GTA has had a history of bumping release dates, so even if they announced one now I wouldn't bet on it.

Still though, I'm super excited for this! I'm also so happy that the cars don't all say "Los Santos" on their licence plates, I know it's a small thing but that drove me absolutely up the wall in IV. I also really hope they bring back the combine harvester, that was uhh.. fun.

I'd say 100% false because 24th May 2012 is a Thursday and Games dont get released on thursdays.

I HIGHLY doubt GTA5 will release in May especially since they just now released the trailer in November. Plus as mentioned above they are known to bump release dates. GTA4 was supposed to come out in December and got bumped 6 months at the last minute. So whatever they announce as a release date, will probably get bumped a few months or more. I actually have a $20.00 bet with someone on GTP that GTA5 will NOT be released by summer September of 2012.

You guys need to read the breakdown of the trailer on Kotaku. I swear they broke it down frame by frame just to point out all of the interesting things and speculate on the others.

Also, how awesome would it be if I could use my wheel whenever I'm in a car and a controller when I'm outside. Plus, they could integrate Kinect so I could shoot out of the car while I'm driving.

Bethesda is not releasing a game on Thursday. Its Friday. And its VERY rare a game releases on anything other than Tuesday.

I really hope they put the fun back into it. GT4 may have been the best game but San Andreas was the most fun.

If it comes out with all the features I want, I am sure I will be at the midnight launch. I didnt care for GTA4 at all. Took ALL the fun out of the series. That was a massive step backward for the series. GTA5 is their chance to redeem themeselves.

GTA IV was by far my favourite. This game will be a ways off because it hasn't been shown at E3 yet.

GTA4 was my least favorite campaign. But the 16 multiplayer and free roam with friends was fun.

Good news, to me, at least. I probably enjoyed San Andreas the most. Granted, technically, GTA IV was probably the best. But it still couldn't touch the huge world that SA offered. Having some more rural areas to explore made such a huge difference to me...

If we can get that back, with the nice graphics of GTA IV and some of the substantial improvements in the story telling, character design and such, I'd be having a blast.

Rockstar's official release makes it sound like the game won't feature cities other than Los Santos, which kind of sucks if true. They've confirmed that there will be rural areas though.
