I don't know. Everyone kinda just followed me I guess. In real life, I'm a huge fan of the Chevrolet Express for some reason. So; I have the one that's based on it in GTA. And I love it. You can shoot combat MGs out the back and it's so inconspicuous. People just agreed with me I guess, like @Katiegan or even @Sting, who is buying a Burrito (Chevrolet G20, another one of my favorite vehicles) soon.Can someone please fill me in on the van obsession?

Ok. I got it now. I guess the practicality of it (LMGs fired from the rear) is a plus. Can any van have performance upgrades (Not including the Youga, as you can only fit two people in it, which is stupid)?

Bravado Rumpo can be modified (engine, wheels, etc.) but not painted for some reason. There is a livery option though. The Speedo can have full insurance, but that's it. The Gang Burrito can be modified, as well as bumper and spoiler options as well. The 2nd gen Burritos (plain Bugstar vans) can be stored but not modified in any way. The company Burrito and the Pony can't be stored. The Paradise can obviously be modified.
