GTAV - snapmatics

goin for that 90s underground vibe.

"The overall design of the Monroe is heavily inspired by the Lamborghini Miura, bearing the distinctive aerodynamic shape and the chromed skirts. The side vents and rear engine vents are also inspired by this. It also shares some elements from the Ford GT40 , notably when it comes to the headlights and the relatively wide shape. The tailights are derived from the 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray." Courtesy of GTA Wiki.

I love the Monroe. It's certainly capable, it can get squirrelly (re: fun) if pushed a little too hard but generally remains composed, and it's not obscenely expensive. If I had to choose between getting rid of it or, say, my Stinger...I'm keeping the Monroe.

Haha, I got both the Stinger GT and Monroe and won't get rid of either, I love the pair of them too much.

Starting off with something small, here's something back from the good old days, still here apparently.

full

Such an old school hack. Wish it was me who got it, seeing all the "SPD presents an SPD Bounty Tales, starring SPD" I've managed without a Kraken.

Moving on with a typical SPD online adventure. What happens when you go to the beach on a bright day...

..when raining?

full

The walking populace decreased significantly. I only managed to find this one guy... and leave him in the wet. *"like if you cry everytime" song plays*

At low graphics, the water droplets still look amazing.

Going for a curb hop here, I'm surprised the Sentinel isn't hurt.

full

Pushing down the metal on the board walk. What I like about the Sentinel is how manageable, yet satisfying the power it gives when you bring it all down.

full

On to the sand!

full

Suddenly..

full

Who's tank might this be? I'm friends with the cylinder called death a lot, but I realized I haven't been beaten by another tank for a while now.

full

And now: freestyle sand drifting. As much as I don't really like the physics of GTA IV, I miss the rather rear end focused drift physics then.

*insert reference of trying to draw male genitalia like Top Gear did*

Big smo.. i mean sand!

full

Whoweee... and the small glitched sand tire mark.

Finally beat the EMP mission and was able to get a Hydra! :D I still have no idea how to get out of the hanger on the ship though. I couldn't figure out how to get to the flight deck, I was just starting back to land in the Dinghy when the mission was passed :P

I made some research over the Cargobob, and aside from being able to lift vehicles, one fact made me go for yet another Mythbusters moment: it can take more punishment than most other aircraft (the Titan being the better end).

It can take 2 missiles/homing launchers, if undamaged. Not bad. But how about if i do a more.. physical test. (innuendo intensifies)

A song for the moment :)

Then suddenly.. SONG CHANGE! (deja vu, anyone?)

full

Target spotted.

This is Mr. Bean reference. The one he refuses to pay 16 quid for parking.

And foot down!

full

Here we go!

full

BAM, that would leave a mark if it were real life.

full

Oh, it's tough, for sure. But I'm sure another ram can persuade it to combust..

UGHHH! 6 RAMS!

6 RAMS!!

Now that's over, time for what we've been waiting for, after 6 rams..

full

BA-BOOM!

full

Well, my job's done. Time to get out.

full

Aside from the Titan (which won't even budge, yes I even tried), what would the result be from most other aircraft? We'll find out soo-

Oops. I mean now. Prepare your body for some...

AWESOME INSURGENT WHEELIE!!

I've posted about this before. It's my main choice of aircraft when I don't feel like blowing stuff up.

You will survive the initial explosion, but the engine will begin to stall after the minute or so. It's more than enough time to flee the area or land, so there isn't too much to worry about. Just a slight inconvenience. Also, if you happen to get in a bit of an "accident" with another aircraft mid-air, the Cargobob will almost always make it out alive. It is pretty much a flying juggernaut.

If it's so resilient against collisions and missiles, how does it fare against bullets? Specifically, Minigun bullets.
