I think I'd like to make the car look a bit like all of these combined:

So, basically you could go to GT Auto and select from the Other menu what kit you wanted, so; Off-Road, Oval, Track, Rally.
All the images are broken, unfortunately.

That looks excellent @eran0004 I think you've managed to capture what we've seen in the sketches, plus you've added improvements. 👍

Did a another quick concept sketch of the 'Race Suit'. It's very unrefined at the moment and although i can imagine clearly in my head, driving it, i'm still trying to figure out the exact workings.

Previous sketch:

New sketch:

They're just 3 quick side on views. The first sketch (left) shows how it would look in the straightline speed position. The legs close together as do the arms, which rest on the top the legs, hands forming a 'V' shape to cut through the air better. The stance would be similar to that of a downhill speed skier (tucked).

The second sketch (middle) is the normal handling position (more upright than the speed position), should allow for a lot of movement when turning and frees up arm movement.

The third sketch (right) shows the braking position (leaned back). The rear drive wheel (could be 2 wheels, have yet to decide), adjusts to allow for a more leaned back position. Another thing i haven't really illustrated in the sketches, is how the arms play an active role when braking (held out as air brakes), and leaning (again, air braking and weight balance).

Like i say, it's very unrefined at the moment and i welcome constructive criticism/ or suggestions. I'm thinking about the use of a clever pneumatic system that could control the actual movement of the suit (not the wheels), which would incorporate the suspension and possibly a minor 'G-suit' that the driver wears. Thoughts?

[EDIT]
And yes, i'm sure it looks a bit like the female robot from 'WALL-E' :)

1.6 sounds like it might be feasible.. I'd be tempted to go smaller still, but i'd doubt that would result in the power output needed/desired.

Thanks eran. 👍 That's very similar to what i'm thinking,(albeit more powerful and hopefully less of a feeling of vulnerability). It reminds me of a very sophisticated Segway.

[EDIT]

Quick rough sketch of a front-mid engined Kei car (Suzuki Cappucino size). Obvious heavy influences from the Nissan GTR LM, Alpine VGT and Batmobile. Strict single seater (occupants legs sit either side of the gearbox. Rotory powered turbo unit, and active aero (side vanes swivel open and closed when cornering). Weight goal, sub 650kg.

Again, needs refining.
