Nurburgring Nordscheife 24Hr; 24 Minute Race

Practice begins at 2:00pm EST, Qualifying at 2:30pm EST and Race at 3:00PM EST Friday June 24th

General Information and Regulations

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by SuperGT sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me RACECAR) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manner.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA for each event.

  • Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
  • No Cheating, etc.
  • Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts
  • While close racing is accepted, it will also be monitered so mind yourselfs on track. Penalties will be enforced for any behavior considered avoidable contact or rough driving.
  • All decisions by GTMSA officials are final

If class 2 is a show-room stock or slightly modified road car class, you can count me in!

Thats what its gonna be actually. I've just been trying to find all the showroom stock cars that have competed before and haven't had luck as of late.

I'm in, class 3, bet you won't guess the car :D

Need help setting up the rules for class 2, or just compiling a list of the cars that have competed in the N24 the last couple years have have been close to showroom stock?

I've finally gotten all of it sorted out, but its compiling a list of cars that have competed in the N24 the last couple of years, in all classes really.

You can count me in as a BMW Z4 driver. That is the Premium (new car showroom) version, right? What are the rules on aerodynamic devices? Banned I assume...

Pretty much, yes. I'll be more clear on the specific models too. Rules on each class will be finalised and posted today.

Specs have been finalized. If no one else is signing up, then this will be cancelled and the thread will be closed.

Im interested. One thing though, want to run M3 GTR, but mine has the stage 2 NA tuning done and is at the 520 hp with limiter to 98.3%. Other than that, it is to your specs.

So you've actually managed to get it to that horsepower without the High RPM Turbo Kit?

yes. The stage 2 gets you to 525 hp. I dont believe in turbos, except for rally cars. So, is it good to run or no?

You know what, that'll do. I'll also change the modifications since you've just proven we don't necessarily need turbos for the desired HP.

Lol it's totally the CSL

I will be able to make it, but there's too many cars to choose from!!! (mind blown) Besides which a ISF RC is always really good :)

I doubt anyone couldn't figure it out already, but i might as well make it official:

LancerEvo7
Class 3:
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 7 GT-A (unless I find an Evo 7 GSR by tomorrow)

Can you believe I didn't actually own an Evo 7 on the game until today?

And yet you own five Super GT cars and a Peugeot 908  Somehow, that just doesn't compute.

One just popped up in my UCD. Yellow and 24883km. I will send it to you now if you want for free. Let me know where to send it.

Man, was interested but the Optional aids and Racing Soft tires won't do it for me.

Good luck though. 👍

Not all the classes actually have racing softs, only class 1 does. The Others have Racing Hards and Sports Softs.

macospet1
Class 2
Lotus Evora

I love that all aids are optional, I only use asm anyways, but I think its great and just makes the race generally more enjoyable.. I'll try and make it as best as I can tomorrow. This sounds like fun.

Sorry didn't see that. The aids thing stands thought. :)

Exactly, whats wrong with optional aids? If your driving is good enough, does it really matter? I myself am quick with or without them so it doesn't really make much of a difference.

Optional aids are fine apart from skid recovery, which is made up and gives quite an unfair advantage.

I'd also like to join this. I'll look for a car.

EDIT:
BMW M3 CSL

Lap count has been finalised. Seemed awefully short at first but after taking into consideration that this is the 24 Hour variation not just the Nordschelife and then calculating each lap time, it made more sense.

I thank all that have signed up, its not much but its better then nothing.

Racecar, I'm ecstatic that you've taken the GTMSA and ran with it. If anyone was going to do it, you were.

I'd really like to get in on this race, but unfortunately it's in the middle of the work-day for most people. Otherwise I'd be racing in this event too.

Good luck to all participants.
