GTMSA Presents

Information
Since its beginnings, racing has had the same general formula. Go as fast as you can, and manage your gas and tires to cross the finish line first. We now add another variable into the formula. The Toyota Prius Cup Car (Toyota Prius TC) uses a hybrid drivetrain to decrease fuel consumption, using an electric motor powered by a battery. Drivers in the Prius World Championship must manage their battery charge along with their tires and fuel, while still racing one another. Can you take the challenge?

Rules and Regulations

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by the Prius World Championship sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (primarily me, LancerEvo7) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate matter.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

  • GTP's OLR applies. If it conflicts with rules given below, assume the rules given below to be correct.
  • You must use the given power and upgrades.
  • You must keep 2 tires on the track or rumble strips.
  • You may change lanes twice to defend your position.
  • As these are slower cars with good mechanical grip, close racing with some contact is expected and will not be penalized.
  • If you cause another driver to crash, even if it is unintentional, it is expected that you allow them to regain their position before you continue.

Interesting quali on Softs but race on Hards. (No doubt due to the s:censored:ty tyre wear phyisics killing softs after 6-7laps)

If you could make this 2 hours earlier I could join

EDIT: I signed up incase you are able to move it back

DOUBLE EDIT: My team is Pretty In Pink Racing, if you want to be teammates, you have to be in a pink car with pink wheels.

All GTMSA series will be switching to the private lounge format for their next seasons. All Prius Cup entrants should add the PSN GTMSA_PriusCup.

The schedule has been added to post 3. The room for the first test race will open in about 3 hours, all are welcome to attend.

Decided to take the plunge. Not the biggest fan of the car, but I might as well use it for something.

Unless we get a load more people, the series will be cancelled. The test last night was cancelled since I can't log on to my GTP Tag.
