Here's one for you. Why did you choose your racing numbers?

Mine is really straight forward, it's a tribute to one of my favourite racing game series of all time...

Mine is typically my day of birth :dopey:

sorry about the manufacture table guys, I made that table and realised I hadn't put them in order, so I made the correct one but obviously posted the old one, will fix it apologies

58 is for my hero, simoncelli

I'll be putting the forms up later 👍 been at the rally day at castle combe, good fun, a lot of inspiration lol

GTTCC Mid-Week announcement
The series has already gotten off to a good start, and many would like to see the return for a second series. If this is to happen then unfortunately I will need to start work ASAP.

So, let's start with the cars. I will be keeping the 2 litre engine cars but would like a car entry list where the cars suit well and if this was a real life championship and that car appeared, people would like it belonged. A few weeks ago I came up with a list, but was a bit unsure whether to add them. however when people mentioned these cars, it showed I was working along the right lines. The cars that were mentioned I already had on the list, but was quite disappointed that my plan to add FR cars were ruined due to the lack of cars that would suit well. But big thanks to @FaithlessEmo who gave me 2 perfect cars. I was going to keep the cars quiet but I think you guys deserve to know what i'm throwing around.

FF Cars
Alfa Romeo 147 TI 2.0 Twin Spark '06
Citroen C4 Coupe 2.0 VTS '05
Renault Sport (Clio R.S '11 or Megane R.S '11)
Volkswagon Scirocco R '10
Honda (Civic Type R '08 or Integra Type R (DC5) '04)
Ford Focus ST '13

FR Cars
BMW 120i '04
Suburu BRZ S '12
Scion FR-S '12

Not all of these cars may compete, but will keep you updated.

For the future of GTTCC the only thing I would wish to change is the tracks. In my opinin these cars are all every day road cars, but are a bit unique, with their style, and capturing the driver's hearts.

Next, I will give people until Wednesday night to complete a form (will put it at end of post so everyone reads this message first (VERY IMPORTANT). you don't have to but woud appreciate it if you did, as like the Scottish independence, this form decides the future of GTTCC  i'd like to keep the series as little change as possible. Will give you a quick run through of the form.

1. Just tell me your GTP ID (any info I am given will remain private unless you want it shared)
2. Which model you would rather Honda used
3. Which model you would rather Renault used
4. Race format, there are 3 options.

A (current format)
Qualifying
Race 1 based on qualy results
Super-Pole
Race 2 based on Super-pole results
Race 3 reverse grid based on R2 results

B
Race 1 based on revers championship positions
qualifying
Race 2 based on qualifying results
Race 3 reverse grid based on race 2 results

C
Qualifying
Race 1 based on qualifying
Race 2 reverse grid based on race 1 results
Race 3 reverse grid based on race 2 results

5. Can the final round be allowed to count as a drop score
6. Team format / titles available (Jimmmy's suggestion gave me an idea. Although the manufacture teams wont be welcome like before, option B might)

A (Current)
Drivers, Teams, Independent, Manufactures

B
Drivers. Factory. Independent teams, Independent Drivers, Manufactures
(If two team mates drive the same car, then they will be entered in the Factory team title. If they drive different cars then they will enter the independent teams title. If you have no team mate, then you will be entered into the independent drivers title.

6. Wet weather races. Yes or no
7. I thought that for the Daytona race this season it would be nice to race in the night
8. Select 6 tracks you would like to see next season. (Preferably in order of most wanted) Route X/7, Rally and kart tracks will be ignored. Do not vote for Daytona as if it works well, it will be automatically added to the calendar
9. Any other suggestions

Hope this makes sense guys. Unfortunately I need to start this eearly as it's a lot of work specing the cars. So if you could spare 5 mins to do this then it would help a lot. Next season the only details we'll need is the track list

Just a friendly bit of advice that for those of you who knows exactly how much tiring work it is to put a series together then doing all that work for nothing is really frustrating, so if there is no interest please say so now

I understand that it is for Mid-season but will it be applied to season 2?

That could be an idea @DirtyNurbKing58, have a rally round next season! ;)
hmmm, maybe not an actual round counting towards the championship, but maybe we could have a side race of it ;)

wow I love you so much harsk lol. So you read that whole post in 30 seconds? As i'll be making a few changes to GTTCC and want people's opinions. If you had read it, you'd have seen it is for season 2 onwards

Thanks Dirty- I have readed the cars, the races for example: Yes, I did read all. I think that FF vs FR is an great idea. By the way, let me suggest you the cars that I would like to see in next season:

1- Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X P.P'07
2- Subaru Impreza WRX STi'10
3- Lotus Elise'96
4- Chevrolet Corvette Stingray'69 (the premium one)
5- Light Rocket
6- BMW 507

I know that some cars sound classic but I would like to see some of MR and some of 4WD running in that championship.

ummm, harsk, you'd like to see those cars yet cant use them? hmmm why haven't you been awrded member of the week yet ;)

why would I take offence? I could host one but so could you ;)

I'm trying not be disrespectfull. For the member of the week I think that it is for Staff Only (admins and moderators for example).

And I'll host an rally championship when I get my PS3 fixed and the specs tested. When an thread of rally championship is open, I'll send you an link by PM.

Niiiiiiice... :D

Oh, and I still think you should look at the Mazda Demio Sport '10... I know test and tunes are a ballache, but I think it would be a good addition. It's quite nimble...

Thanks guys 👍 I will PM you about your choices

If the Demio was to be added, then i'd have to consider all cars that are around 1.6 and they are not really cars that I feel fit.

2.0 litre is the limit, as the series was similar to the WTCC regs. Something like the S2000 really does not float my boat. The cars there I feel are really nice cars that suit., and even those 9 will take ages to do

Getting a lot of cool suggestions, and I think that some of them will be used. So far we have;

- An endurance race - had a few people suggest this. They think one of the rounds should be one 1hr race and not 3. Or have an end of season one?
- Tyre Manufacture - I thought this was a cool idea by smith. There's a list of tyre mnufactures and people choose one then the tyre manufacturers have their own title battle

As a side note mikey will be hosting a support race for the GTTCC, a kart series, that will take place after the race 👍

Looks like I miss counted the scores

Yuc has 90 points in he endurance series.
DPR have 134 (that loks much better stiggy mate lol)
Honda have 165pts
Suzuki have 124pts

Will change later guys.

Also, there are certain things I need to lay down. 4WD cars are a no. I have told people over and over again yet they still suggest it. How do people feel about the endurance round? I think the racing is so much better with the 3 sprint races. For the record though, if we do have an endurance race, it will only be one round, no more. However i'll host a separate endurance race with a separate trophy at the end of the season if people want. That seems a better idea to me

It would be cool to have a won off enduro race. Might mean we can try different strategies e.g fast lap time, more tyre wear, more stops. Then the opposite.

I have one last request for next year's cars if possible (I understand if you can't @DirtyNurbKing58 )

Lose the Scirocco, bring in the Golf Mk. V (the last FF one, not the 4WD Mk. VI)

I swear, that Scirocco is awful. Wouldn't be so bad if the thing was stable under braking.

This is just IMO of course, but I am the works VW driver :D

In all seriousness, if anyone can say they would drive the Scirocco then leave it as is...

Would love the endurance race, but the main thing on that one is, of course, PD and their infernal servers of doom... Probably is better to have it as a separate race with no championship scoring. 1 hour at Apricot Hill with time set to 24 should do nicely, get a mock 24 hour race video... :D

Matterhorn is a **** racing track. I can just see upsets with how narrow the track is and if there is contact its game over. So we are going to have to be very careful.
Not having ago. Just making the statment. Lol.

I agree with how I can see somebody having a do, especially with the big downhill braking zones. It's a good test of car and driver tho. The pit entry is my only concern, if you go in too quick the AI crashes into the wall. I can see people getting held up on pit entry if this happens.
