Not sure if to laugh or cry :irked: only one in the top 6 I think on RH (2 stints on mediums waiting), running behind @Mikey24 (enjoyed the tussle by the way ;)) and then my modem resets :banghead:

POST-RACE ANALYSIS

First of all, I would like to apologize about the abysmal of a race today. It started well and got progressively worse after about 30-35 minutes into the race. I further apologize for unnecessarily interrupting the race with the yellow and red flags. I was meant to keep the track dry but obviously I didn't . I then left the room after my PS3 decided to disconnect itself from my WiFi :banghead:. When I rejoined there was only one car racing and after some kerfuffle, me and @TRL_Andromeda agreed to leave Silverstone as it is, and no one gets points and we start afresh on the 4th April at Spa-Francorchamps.

I would also like to mention that if you start the race on Racing Medium tyres you cannot run another set after that, you have to run Hards. Is anyone still interested in racing here as I will understand if people have thrown in the towel and, in all fairness, I wouldn't blame you for making that decision. So I'd like to ask, who will continue with the series?

I definitely would love to continue this series. If the race was not finished, perhaps we can move the schedule by a week, start the series in 2 weeks time (where round 2 was suppose to start). And start Silverstone then?

Just a heads up with that 15 kg addition to the Mercedes. It slowed the car by a second on hard tyres. 1000kg was just right I think. On mediums I still would have been 0.6 slower than the top 3 if I didn't have that 15kg's of Mcdonalds in the passenger seat :odd: so maybe a review on that side

We'll have a look into that. 👍

UPDATE:-

Hi guys, a couple of things I'd like to mention about some updates for the series. Me and @TRL_Andromeda have been talking and we have been over a couple of things. There will be some changes to the series, nothing major but please speak up if any do not suit your needs.

The first things I'd like to mention is that there will be an altering with the current car specs, there will be no major changes to the cars, but I can say that the Nissan will remain unchanged, so now the specs are currently under revision and will be released before the end of week, which is quite a large deadline considering the small changes.

Another thing I'd like to mention, which would possibly be the most important, is that due to a couple of drivers having another series which overlaps this series a small bit, so I will pulling the start forward half an hour to 18:00 GMT. If anyone has any problems with this please get in touch with me. 👍

I can't remember the grid order, but as soon as the top 3 got into the swing of things at the beginning they were 4 seconds a lap faster. The Medium's I calculated were about 2.5 seconds a lap faster and I don't mind giving a 0.5-0.7 sec's per lap deficit. But the Mercedes Benz at 1000kg's would be better than 1015 kg's (A bit lighter, I'll be smiling, lol)

I don't have the cash to buy all the cars to test them, but if someone can test all 4 around Silverstone and feel that they can get quality laps in, then compare times, i'd be happy.

Were the specs done according to PP or Power to weight ratio?

(NB: I'm not ranting ;) just been a driver and reporting to my Engineer on improvements )

Earlier start is good ;)👍

The Mercedes is going to be lightened to 1000kg, I can say that. :) The specs are currently being done by Power to Weight ratio but now they will be monitored by PP as well to make sure no one is using any extra parts which is prohibited by the series rules. 👍

Oh yeah, would the Silverstone event be classified as a "Non-event" and we'll proceed to Round 2 as per normal?
Silverstone will be classified as a Non-Event as Round 2 will continue as normal with the new regulations. :)

*sigh* I sometimes wish GT allowed you to choose your flag and not go with where your PSN account is registered. I'd prefer to drive with British or French flag :(

You can find this on Page 1 Post #1 underneath the introduction. Can you all please make sure that your cars are at the correct spec on Saturday?

Another thing I'd like to add: @zuruzuruz has been removed due to lack of activity. Which now leaves a space open for a driver to enter. 👍

Also, Round 2 at Spa-Francorchamps will be moved to the 18th April due to Easter falling on the 11th/12th weekend.

Thanks,

Mike.
