Maybe pass the keys to GTTCC to someone else. That way you can enjoy the fun instead of having to worry about running everything.
Please pay attention. That is what I have done. For the second consecutive season I got it up and running then backed off to relax in the series, but it hasn't worked unfortunately. It's why i'm thinking I need to try sort it back out and make simple.

I really don't want this political nonsense. I want to race and have some fun.

In my personal opinion, I don't really like what the series has become. I preffered it when it was close and intimate if that makes sense lol

Yup, makes sense. Maybe we're just looking back with that nostalgia effect where everything from 'Back in the Day' was better for some reason, but I know whatcha mean.

Nah m8, you're cool. 👍

I think it's more in the sense of it's such a large series in terms of the drivers but we don't all race each other. People are alienated off of the bat by being 'Division 2' drivers. Back when it was smaller, there was no classification. That's how I look at it from a roster standpoint.

You misunderstood me mate. But thank you. :)

I know what you mean, sometimes a nice group of friends is better than a huge mob of people. It is possible for the friendly feeling to be lost.

It happened in the btcc, we had a few really nice people drop out at roughly the same time and then an influx of fresh drivers. The friendly nature of the series was somehow affectted and it never quite felt the same again.

No disrespect to anyone intended, it's just what happens sometimes.

Yeah I think you might have misinterpreted what I meant lol

Like with BTCC, you have a bunch of mates just wanting to have some fun and having a laugh. It just doesn't feel like that anymore :(

To me this season somehow feals quite serious, maybe its because of there being so many great drivers.
And I think that may be leading towards people racing a little "desperate" for the overtake/points.
pre season races were great fun when there was no points or titles to be had.

I echo the above.
I maybe feel there is too much choice meaning there is too much scope for the 'extra' advantage found from balanced cars that can be improved more or less.

Also I remember when it was fun, we used to all test together and help each other. I remember Tokyo last season helping duker?! But now it feels a lot more 'professional' and it's like formula one of the 80's to 90's. It became more about the results and winning than entertainment.

I'd like a back to basics. With tacks you can race (no Matterhorn!) maybe do a longer season with more races and simpler format. Maybe 3-4 FF's cars balanced very well with 3-4 teams. So we can work together?

If love to have 3 other people in a team with me, all with the same cars helping each other to make sure we can beat the other 2-3 brands?

But I'm happy to continue how it is right now, I just don't spend the time with setup etc.

Ok guys, i'm torn.

After a great season I thought this would be amazing. However the standards have been poor, and despite being tough on them, it has still continued.
I handed the keys of the series over and the opinion is torn. I tried to make things as simple as possible, and now trying to have some fun, I cant, and it's just been over complicated. So now the question is what to do.

I'll just withdraw completely. That's pretty much what has happened now and it's just no fun.
I just shut GTTCC down. It's looking bad when I put all this work in and then take a step back its crumbling, and then with some of the standards and rule breakers.
Scrap this season and bring in what was planned for GTTCC-4. A one make and make things simple.

It's ruined off track by servers, and losing my grasp on the series, then when I get on track it's ruined by poor driving. For those of you who are aware of some of the things I'm dealing with in real life, the game is meant to be an escape. Not cause additional problems. I want some fun, that's all. I released hosting duties and tried to step back.

I'm not sure what to do. Just sharing my first thoughts.

I reckon what you need to do is be way more ruthless with drivers, if they are consistently hitting people, ruining races and being a general dingleberry, boot em, simple as. Like the majority, I'm sure, I'm here to have fun and become a better driver, not start arguments over who hit who and whose fault everything is, the most important thing is, it's a GAME, don't take it so seriously, we aren't the FIA.

I feel that it's quite friendly, I don't feel alienated at all, the D2 drivers are a great bunch, and I can have good conversations with all of you on here, I can ask for tips, talk to each and every one of you if I want to, the standard of driving is very good as far as I can see.

So agree with this............echo.

I'm not so sure that booting people out is the answer, but I do agree that incidents should be punished harder. Some of the driving is a little sloppy at times and I think that @xflow1390 is right about desperation creeping in. People are desperate to win at all costs, rather than just enjoying the race.

My highlight of yesterday was in race 2. I was a lap down and following TRL_Agro for several laps. I was a bit quicker than him and probably could have made a move somewhere, but his pace was good and I didn't want to get involved as it would slow us both down. I was actually happy enough sitting in his draft and waiting for him to eventually enter the pits. Those laps were my favourite of the night.

You may be right, maybe a penalty at the start of the race then, the severity depending on how many incidents they have accrued throughout the season.

This is what I was doing with @swiftsmith in Race 1. That Volvo is an absolute monster in a straight line so I thought if I can sit in his draft it will not slow us down, and with us being team mates it's better I sacrifice a win for the team to do well. I mean, what's better than a 1st and possibly 4th or lower (the pack was catching quickly from weak boost)? 1st and 2nd. 👍

Yep. I would do this with Canyondrifter when we were teammates too. We would probably fight it out in the last couple of laps, but if we needed to make quick progress we knew that we had to work together. Sometimes I try the same tactic with others and I get mixed results.

Sometimes when me and someone else are out in front, I'm possibly not the only one that would do this but, I would work with them to try and pull a bit of a lead out before I demolish them in the next couple of corners. I tried doing this on @Doomstorm16 but when I got past, I just couldn't shake him because of the slipstream. Plus, there weren't a lot of lanes at Rome, there's only really one fast line as opposed to more open circuit where 2 lanes are almost as fast as each other. So to try and shake him was the difficult part and from trying to lose him I lost time and he couldn't get past as it was always at the wrong place (for him  ) but the rest of the field caught up again and we got smothered and couldn't get away again. So, in my opinion, it doesn't always work.

I agree with alot of the above posts, I dont feel as loved here as i was in past seasons :( i feel as though i'm only here to make up the numbers :( and if i didn't show up on race day no one would even notice thesedays :(

Such is the problem with expansion, people are less able to stay as intimate with each and every person as more people flow in, it's inevitable really.

I don't think that's true at all Buck. I was gutted when you left the lobby yesterday and I'm looking forward to battling with you on track.

I've jut got home and had a glance. I'm liking what I see really, glad that my feelings are being replicated, don't want to seem like i'm moaning but I think we need to sort it out.

I'll reply better in a bit when I've wamed up lol

I enjoy racing all of you. I wouldn't wanna spend my free Wednesday racing with anyone else. Now I'm not saying I haven't been mad about some calls made. I'll be the first to admit I have been.
