I didn't recognize the name. Immediately after seeing the pic, I recognized it as the Hind-D. One of the coolest looking gunships from when I was a kid. Easy SZ for me, and they were on the wrong side.

The Mi-24 was also present in MGS3 and Peace Walker (but there were early versions, with different cockpit). Although MGS3 was set in 1964 (if I remember it right) but the real helicopter did its first flight in 1969.

Also, a month ago, I saw two Crocodiles close.
These are Mi-35M, one of the latest versions with new engines (2 x 2600 hp), modern avionics (including new radar system allowing night operations) and reduced weight.
