No, rock was coo for a while, but the meaning of the word cool has changed as culture has changed.

The only genre of music which can persistently be cool is Jazz.

I guess they made good music...well popular at least. But to be honest their music is very basic, anyone could learn to play one of their songs in a day without any prior experience...so a big Meh from me.

That maybe so, but I know I definitely couldn't.
But thought this is more about wether or not we think AC/DC is cool. I don't really think they are cool and gave my reason why, obviously AC/DC fans are going to disagree with me but thats alright.

Solid cool, But I still prefer the Bon Scott era of AC/DC albums... "High Voltage", "Highway to Hell", "Dirty Deeds"...etc.

I find many AC/DC songs to be cool, but I'm not sure I'd say the Back in Black album is cool because I don't know it well enough.
