Although it may seem hard to judge without your opinions about it, judge what is on the screen: how the drifts flow and how smooth they are. Judge based on what the facts are.
Members of GTP have voted for you because they think that you have enough experience and skill to evaluate their skills that they will show you. If you think that you can not judge their drifts withour your opinion in it, then it will be hard to judge solely on their drifts.
It seems like this challenge has really shown how the judges the members vote for see things
Lol, I can promise you my score was totally unbias
It totally shocked me that Akina didnt hit a freaking wall in any of his vids *sigh*
A few words:
Akina:
The bad: Bro, there is a big difference between "style" and "I barely can control my drift." When I watch and judge these vids, I pay close attention to the lines taken, the amount of control displayed, etc, very very closely. I watch how well you control the throttle, use your steering, use the car overall, how good your line is, speed, entry and exit points, inertia drifts, etc, and the entire time I was watching your video I was cringing hoping you wouldnt fall into the grass or go flying into a wall, not because you were "pushing the edge" but because you seriously lacked control. 8/10 you lost your drift line at the end of the corner, losing your line completely and ending the drift way the hell at the outside of the track, your entries were sloppy and not well time at all, your inertia drifts, while plentiful, which is good, were timed all wrong and the line you maintained looked more like it belonged in a piece of piasso artwork rather than on a track.
The Good: I have to give you credit, you DID work hard. You definitely got game, you just need to polish it out a bit more. I know using the dualshock is not easy, and so I give you major props for using it. The sheer fact that you kept these cars on the road even after you lost your racing line shows that you have good control. You just need to cut back on the mistakes and keep the car on the right line, tidy up those entry and exit points, timings, and speeds, and you'll be good to go. - And no I didnt give you a 15, lol.
Ryen 49:
The Bad: Watch those entry points and speeds, your control around AH was good, and your line was pretty good too, but your entry points were late more often than not, this is what's making it hard for you to maintain your line near the inside of the track. Also, start practicing some more advanced techniques, braking entries to balance the car, and using the four wheel drift properly. I see you use it in your vids, but your entry technique makes it kick in a bit late, throwing off your line. Tighten it up bro.
The Good: You def got the skill bro, just tighten down the screws and buckle down, spend some time practicing, and you will be good to go.
The rest:
I agree with thio completely, and I hear so many people in this competition going "This judging was unfair! look how different the scores are!! Well, each judge can only judge according to their skill level, which is why noobs think I am a REALLY good drifter. I'm not, I'm MAYBE intermediate at best, but its your skill that determines your ability to really critique a video and see the bad and the good in it, hence the different ranks of scores. Also, some might see something as one thing, and another judge as something else, so you are going to get widely varied scores, thats just the name of the game. Heck, one guy gave my vid a perfect score (noob!) and Batte_Stage said it wasnt even worth posting and was complete trash, that about gets as opposite as it is right there.
As for me, I would never judge biasly, thats just fekking cheap, I would hope people voted for me to be a judge because they knew I would be fair, and I intend to do my best to live up to that and judge each competition and video, no matter who the competitor, fairly according to the ability displayed in each of their entries.
