Is there a photo of GY1091 next to a person? That thing looks huge.

Not quite as imposing as you might think despite its length. I believe the Double Six saloon chassis bore a wheelbase of approximately 159" where the current Chevrolet Suburban's wheelbase measures in at just 130".

To be fair, this was the 30s. I imagine it would have been acceptable for the day. It's not like today where turbo fours making over 300 horsepower are common. Regardless, I think the car is cool because it looks amazing.

It was a joke.
 
The fact it makes that power under 2,500 RPM says a lot. Being a Sleeve Valve engine means more power could have been very, very easily attained, this engine was basically idling as far as stresses go.
 
Gotta love a car that gives only about 30% of it's size over to the occupants! :lol: Magical, but I wouldn't want to own one. Cool.
