Who said SAAB's aren't cool?? How do you define cool, I wonder?

Don't think we got these in the states, I've seen one Sonnet III and it way very cool to be sure, except I later found out they weren't nearly as sporty as they look and had other issues, too. Based on that, I'm withholding sub-zero. Gotta have the performance to back up the looks.

I just don't find Saab to be a "cool" brand. Quirky, yes but not cool. Don't find it uncool either.

It's so small and light - not to mention, nearly five decades old - that I highly doubt the whole "FWD = teh sux understeer-mobile" stereotype would really apply.

Cool - it's a pretty little thing.

It's more like "FWD with twenty degrees of negative camber in the rear = teh sux understeer-mobile".

Anyone who's owned a B13 Nissan Sentra knows that oversteer is ridiculously easy if you don't have that handicap.

A car that I've never heard of, had literally no idea of its existence whatsoever. Which made opening the page very fun indeed. It's not often that I get to base my Cool Wall vote completely on an untainted, first-time-ever-seeing-this-car reaction.

When that first image loaded, I said "wow," and then realized I had a large smile on my face.

Coolness is about initial, visceral reactions, about the way a car makes you feel without even thinking about it. Who cares that it's slow? That it's FF? That it's not a muscle car? Most people, that's who. Most people will see this car and just smile. They'll have whimsical thoughts about a lazy weekend drive at the wheel and a pretty girl in the passenger seat. That's cool. No, wait, that's sub-zero.

Darn, there are a lot more cars than I thought that look faster than they really are. Anyway, looks great, it's light, and I can't imagine a moron driving one of these. A cool person would definitely be driving one, it gets a high cool.
