Easy Sub. Like a Giulia GTA, this is a gorgeous, old little Italian sports coupe with motorsports heritage. Unique engine layout only helps in this case.

Low cool. The problem is that it isn't even remotely as desirable as some of it's fellow Italian contemporaries, namely the FIAT Dino and Alfa 2000 GTV.

High cool. It's a classic car that wouldn't make you look like a rich douche with eclectic taste, and is given bonus points for a different engine set-up with a glorious noise. Also kick started Lancia's rally pedigree.

Lancia Fulvia. Just say it out loud... fFuuuulveeyah. The only way it could be more vulgar is if that second word started with a "Vee"... sub-fragtagaliciously sub-zero.

I was already at SZ for this magnificent car. But if I hadn't been, this would have pushed me there.

would be cooler if it was. :)

Nah.

Then it would just be lost in the crowd behind the Alfa Junior and the Ford Escort.

Also, a mid-engined Mini... not quite as cool as a Fiat 500, which has the engine in the proper place... hanging behind the rear axle. :D

Standard Mini Cooper S versus a Fiat 500... doesn't compute. I adore them equally.

I will admit, though, that this is a slightly lower sub-zero than the Alfa, to me. Simply because it isn't an Alfa.

I have plenty of admiration to spare for all the '60s/'70s European FRs. ;)

What @Turtle said.

We should start a GTPlanet RR fanclub. :D

My only knowledge of this car was a multiple year saga where one of the main editors of Automobile Magazine expressed his complete inability to keep the one he owned running for a period of time longer than a few weeks. It led to many entertaining columns on how last month *expensive part broke*, but it's okay this month because this time *comparably inexpensive part broke*.

And I thought to myself, if a car is worth that much of a headache, it's gotta be at least cool. So long as your first meeting of one isn't on the side of the road with the hood up like a 70s Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaag.

Fact: Hot 60's-looking girls naturally gravitate to RR cars:

See, even Wilt Chamberlain is waiting for them to show up:

Small, lovely looking little Italian coupe? Sub zero.
