My dad used to have one or several of these (2.0L) and my grandad had 2.8 Ghia estate, which was ace.

But that's the thing. It was always a dad/grandad car. Very low meh.

Anyway, old skool Ford that now turns heads and one of the few retro cars that hasn't fallen into the hands of the stanced mob. Cool. I'll have a 2.8 Ghia please.

I had Taunus '82, which essentially is coupe version of this. Based on that experience, Seriously Uncool.

This has piqued my interest in these old things. Get one with the 2.8i Cologne V6 and it'll hit 60 in a little over 9 seconds and good for 117 or so, not hugely fast by modern standards but not bad. Admittedly I would still prefer that engine in a Capri though

I'm pretty sure the gold estate/wagon is actually a Mk1. They both used the same rear section like Mk1 and Mk2 escort estates but the detailing is different.
