I know, but it's the only Shelby product I can think of that fits his criteria. Though, I honestly think Tornado is just exaggerating. There's a heck of a lot more than an air filter and grill on that car. $15,000 more? I don't know about that. But if that car in the picture is the one in question, I see hood, wheels, suspension, paint (mostly decals), cosmetic add-ons, and brakes are not stock, plus more we can't see I'm sure.
And let us not forget that this car stemmed from the fastest car the world has ever seen.
The Shelby GT-H rental car.
The Shelby GT consisted of an ECU flash, a cold air intake, a free flow exhaust and stiffer shocks and anti rollbars. For this Shelby charged $11,000 for less than $3000 in parts, and no dealer in the country would let one out the door without some options and surcharge. In essence, it converted your Mustang GT into an imperceptibly faster Mustang GT with stickers on it.There's a heck of a lot more than an air filter and grill on that car. $15,000 more? So why is the economy car that Shelby put substantial development work into to make it pretty close to the fastest American car on the market worse than the car where someone at Ford thumbed through the Ford Racing catalogue and shipped some parts they could make a huge profit on without any effort to Shelby to install?
