Cool. One of a few Imports I actually like. Looks great, and the aftermarket for these cars is massive even though that can lead to some/most being riced out.

Modified ones come in so many colours and flavours they can be just about anything from Seriously Uncool to SubZero...

The stock one?

Meh fits perfectly...

Cool car. A very very good friend of mine drifted his stock motor daily driver one for a few seasons quite successfully. I have always wanted a convertible once.

Meh. While they're sleek, light coupes, most have been beaten to hell, crashed, dropped and abused.. Oh, and most of them are automatics too. Only redeeming factor is that the KA24DE likes boost.

Have to give it a meh. There's nothing really aesthetically pleasing about it, modded or not because everyone tends to shoot for the same style in different color combos. The only example that has ever impressed me has been the Rocket Bunny, but it's a ridiculously expensive setup that extends beyond the average budget of the group who do mod these cars. Other than that, probably @NISM0_SKYLINE 's due to it being a more unique take; those 2 get a solid cool from me.

But, I'm with HFS; a stock one would be more impressive to see for me, but it would still fall under meh. My biggest irk with this car was maybe around 5-7 years ago when people thought they had something special (much like Supra owners) & wanted overpriced amounts of money for their cars. Back then, it would have gotten an Uncool for that alone.

Similar to the Miata, this car enchants the dreams of fanboys, want-to-be drifters, and weeabos. Uncool.

This car fails to register on the cool scale in stock form - meh.

If I see one on the street chances are it has a 4 inch exhaust, a loud dump valve and a forest of smelly smelly trees hanging from the mirror - uncool.

If I see one on track chances are it's driven by that guy whose vision never leaves the side windows as he drifts his way around the track - seriously uncool.

Nice Handles.

They have 240SXs in Norway?

Yeah, I should have specified:
The 240SX, or 200SX as it goes by here, was only available with the CA18DET / SR20DET in Norway.

Probably.

At least what I've seen, turbo 240s aren't exactly common. There's still some loud ass cars, but they don't seem to be as common as people are saying, at least from what I've seen. But yes, a decent amount of them are beat to crap, so that point is still valid.

I'll give it a slight cool, it seems like it would be fun to push on a back road even though I haven't driven one yet.

Being that this is the US spec 240SX, I would say meh. The modifying seen has been good and bad to it in many ways, but I feel like the cool wall should express more of the car in a stock form as many are judged by their modifying community... I like it, even with the truck engine. Personally I think it's a cool car (in stock form), but to the public that doesn't care about it, I suppose it is just another late 80s-90s car with flip up headlights. Although the flip up headlights do give it something...

I hang out with a bunch of drifters with their 240SXs...and one of my longtime friends joined them and bought his own. I remember riding along on a trip with him and sitting at a red light, my friend started playing with his flip up headlights and a couple next to us had a good laugh watching and got their young daughter off her cell phone to watch as the flip up headlights were going up and down. It's things like this that gives it something over today's mainstream cars, but I suppose it can't be said for all cars of it's time. I think it's cool, but overall...I'm not too sure it really could be.

I may be biased, but I love my car. With that said, in stock trim, like the one I owned before - seriously uncool, but when it's modified correctly, it can be a dream.

Uncool

Would still love to have one for track days though, just never got around to buying one ... yet!

I think the 240SX can be cool. Stripping the interior and calling it a drift car for the road is not cool, it's a stupid thing to do since you just get awful rattling and not much of a notable weight difference. And when kids get a hold of them and put stickers on them, cutting the springs and calling them "stancemobiles" is beyond uncool.

But for every bad S13, there are two good ones, at AE86 meets when the occasional S13 rolls up, it's usually awful clean and it looks great and drives even better since you got an adult taking good care of his car. Or in some cases there's the dude who still keeps his first car and makes it awesome, and that's beyond cool to me.

This is all from my experiences with them lol. But yeah they're awful cool if you ask me, so long as the drift wannabes stay away from them and leave the drifting to the pros ;D
