I voted "cool", just about bordering on sub-zero.

I'm just thinking, if it ever made it to production it would look quite strange in a Peugeot dealership, though.
Not really, not back in the 80's when they had 205 T16 for sale as well.

A ridiculous looking 80s concept car that people would just gawk at you and wonder what in the world is that, and not in a good way.

Uncool.

To be fair to Peugeot, the Oxia seems to follow the standard supercar formula from the late 80s.

Because they're not cars.

The hate stems from the fact that many aren't drivable. Simply showcasing new designs or presenting new ideas and technological advancements for production car development, with no intent to bring the car itself into production. The fact that many of them are no more than fantasy cars you'll never see or drive on any road can be considered uncool to many.

Much of Roo's post on the previous page is a case in point. Peugeot have been renowned for making some of the coolest-looking concepts for decades and teasing us with high-end examples of what they can create. While their production range has been comparatively dull (and for some newer models, somewhat ugly), apart from perhaps the RCZ.

That's the thing though - this was a real, functioning car.

If it's not because one is totally undriveable (thus not filling the requirements to be considered a real car, since it's merely a concept of what one would look like), it's because it never went into production and remained nothing more than a functional dream machine. Since it wasn't even available to own like any production supercar, not only was it out of reach for most people, but even for those with money to burn. Therefore making it immediately uncool in many people's books.

And of course there are some who consider it to be uncool either because of the manufacturer behind it, or the design isn't to their liking. Neither of which really changes my vote, but I can understand their reasons for it.

Yeah, what Wiegert sez. Mine reply was a shortie version of that. Also Peugeot sucks nowadays.
Actually, most modern Peugeots are pretty good now. They've pretty much phased out all the crap ones from the last decade and the stuff that's left is in many cases up with the best in the class. 208 and 308 in particular.

On the concept car thing, W&N is correct that they're functional vehicles. It seems people within Peugeot do actually take them for a spin now and then too - a few years back my parents spotted the 907 concept driving around the Peripherique in Paris. It may not be cool that Peugeot doesn't build them, but I'd actually say it's pretty cool that Peugeot makes them driveable. And I'd struggle not to find it cool to see the Oxia or the 907 (or any of Peugeot's other supercar concepts) driving around Paris.

On that basis I'm actually gonna go with cool on this one.

Last pugs in US.. Probably a 505, if even that considering that they're rare as hens teeth.

^ There was a 505 that parked near my high school in Madison, though I only saw it around for a year or two. I also spotted a 2CV once; I'm glad no one was in the car with me because they would have thought I was a loony for gawking the way I did.

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and guess that he probably wasn't even alive by the time the 505 had disappeared. In fact, looking through his brief posting history, it appears he can't actually drive yet. I. Am. Shocked.
