What a hippo.
Probably the ugliest car ever to wear the 3 pointed star.
It's so ugly it almost makes the 4 door look good. Almost.

Seriously uncool.

I can't help but look at this car and feel it's like a hexagon shaped analogue watch. It's only gotten worse over time.

Was going to go with SU. It's ugly, heavy, looks even heavier, and just screams "I spent too much money on the wrong car!"

But this:

When a luxury coupe came in Manual, SZ

Genuinely surprised me, and shows they still aimed for a touch of fun beyond just stuffing big engines in it. So I guess I'll nudge it up to uncool.

I think the manual trans only was available in the lower spec cars. At least thats the case with the sedan. In Europe you could actually spec an S300 with a manual trans and cloth seats! For the poor wealthy person haha. Or maybe just for a hearse.

You can't go meh on this, it's definitely not a meh car. It has a big V12, ELECTRIC center mirror, and calmly says "🤬 you, don't mess with me". It is also mostly driven by old people and posers but I don't care so I'm going cool.

A manual transmission was never offered on the C140, as I stated in my nomination. The 4-speed automatic was simply replaced with a 5-speed automatic in 1995, so you didn't actually have any choice in transmissions.

This. Mercedes haven't build a manual V8 since the 70's. Only some AMG models had the option.

Uncool. Big blob of German-ness, saved from seriously uncool because the phrase "bahn burner" is cool to say.

One of the worst-looking Mercedes ever made still looks better than the best-looking Lexus coupe ever made. The weight is a problem for me.

Meh.
