It looks as if they wanted to build a big coupe, but couldn't be bothered doing it properly so went fishing in the company parts bin and came up with this ungainly thing.

Uncool.

It's one of the stranger looking Mercedes at the time and has a very confusing name (At least as the OP listed it). Uncool.

Hum, that is a bit chunky, no? I prefer the later CLs, they are sleeker and you could still spec those with a V12 if you wanted. Sure, it might have the classic 1990 Mercedes's "Century reliablility", and it might be pretty luxurious, but it isn't enough to save it from a meh.

Uncool. Its like what a boring empty nest person would buy just because it was expensive. Seriously Uncool

The nomination covers quite a wide range of models, and I gave this a very solid cool based mainly on the SL500 and SL600, which I like a lot. Powerful, fast, nice styling but something just a little obnoxious about it too I admit. Have put a fair few miles on them in GT, particularly via seasonals. Not crazy about the less sporty models though. For me these were some of the last Mercs (supercars aside) I really liked.

Big-ass German V12 Coupe... what's not to love... okay, except for the styling. Rare enough to be genuinely interesting too, IMHO.

Not the greatest V12 coupe they made, but the fact it's V12 was used in the first of the Pagani Zondas saves it from being uncool and meh in my opinion.

A very low Cool.
