It doesn't really look much of anything like an F40. But neither do the Fiero kit cars that happen to look pretty similar.

The hell is a kit car supposed to look like any way?
From what i can gather, they're supposed to look like this:

Atleast in my country, anyway.
Gotta love the water bottle though.

That's not a kit car, that's DIY car. Kit cars are made from parts made by kit car manufacturer and then sold to someone to assemble in their garage.

I dunno, voiture formidable sounds at least as cool as supercar.

The message im getting is that there isn't enough curves in the Venturi to make it look like a kit car.
Or any big headlights.

I disagree that the Venturi looks like a kit car. For a start it was manufactured by a genuine, if small scale, automobile manufacturer. I don't really understand what a 'kit car look' is. Many kit cars are reproductions of pre-existing cars like the Lotus goddamn Seven or the AC Cobra. You can get Ferrari or Porsche kit cars. Original kit cars might be goofy looking at times, but there's no strict formula to which an original kit car must be based.

Maybe it's just me on this. The Venturi does have the same basic shape as a Ferrari F40, but then again, it was made not long after the F40 so it's not out of the question to use similar, successful and handsome design cues.

As per the modern car deigns ugly? thread, insert All80sCoupes.jpeg.

Just going to leave this here...

Y'know, when I watch this video, I can't help but think that for Kaz, THIS is what GT was all about. Real cars, respectful racing, bags of fun and fascinating to watch. Close racing? maybe, maybe not, the fastest car will likely win.. but it's a handful of laps to determine the fastest car. It's exactley what the early GT's where about.

Agree, driving on Tsukuba in GT always has me yelling "TSUKUBA: 5 LAP BATTRU" at the start of the race.

A quirky French supercar which is highly attractive in an unusual way, and unlike certain other small supercar makers, Venturi actually built and sold cars for a fair few years. Sub zero.

Should have picked a yellow one for the pictures.
It's basically not quite an F40, but it's very cool.

Going off that video, it's also about as quick as an F40 around a track. If only the Venturi hadn't gotten blocked at the start by the 911s.
