Pretty cool / stout car. I'm not the wagon type of a person, so therefore it loses some points, but it still remains in the cool ranking. A lower end cool that is.

I don't usually like wagons, but for this one I'll make an exception. It even looks half decent!

Decent looking wagon with good performance and practicality, but not a fast Forester.

Most importantly not a WRX with the big wings and gold wheels.

This gets a solid cool.

Cool from me. When I make a list of cars I would have if I won the lotto (lame I know but haven't we all done it?) I always look at something to carry a couple of dogs around in, as I would have a couple of dogs too (it's quite an extensive fantasy) and pretty sure I would plump for one of these, with a Stagea or some Audi rocket or possibly an old mint Toyota Tercel as runners up. It's powerful, fast, and pretty rugged.

I wouldn't say it's entirely boring or irrelevant, but more or less that they took away a lot of what made it a really interesting model in the segment. Overall, Subaru seems to be going back to more of what it was in the '90s... A brand that builds reliable, quirky cars that satisfy the Subaru faithful... And do their best to lure away Volkswagen and Volvo buyers who are near-enough the same group of people.

It still blows my mind that Subaru will offer the Forester XT with the turbo over the Legacy and Outback. It just seems so strange. But, what sells... sells... And I can't entirely blame them.

I'll give it a cool, it's a pretty quick wagon, which I love, but it seems a bit bland, so not a sub-zero car for me..
