If I wanted a Miata, an NB is what I'd get. Best looking of them all, doesn't exactly look as girly as its broth... err... sisters. Would personally prefer one with a fixed top though. Not too crazy about convertibles.

Cool.

Pop-up headlights or not, ricer reputation or not, it's still a Miata. Any Miata for me is Cool.

I may be one of the few people in the world who doesn't like popup headlights. In general. Hidden headlights, a la '69 Camaro RS among others is a whooole other story.

Also I know "potential" is the cringe word for these polls but oh my god look at it

I used to not like Pop-Up headlights, but now, i like how the RX-7, NA MX-5s and most other similar things with their pop ups out, it adds to the character.

Actually, i wonder if the Hidden Headlights can potentially make a return...

It may add some character (and building off Nikys point, there's a few "sleepy eye" memes floating that I love) but I think they look hideous when up, not to mention they kill aerodynamics and can fail at any time... moving stuff breaks. Way less likely to happen to regular headlights.

Now, you see, i was planning to say that in my original post, but, like usual, forgot.

Now, let me introduce you to my concept of pop up tail lights...

By far the best looking MX-5/Miata of all time. Very difficult to ruin that as well. Coupe version even moreso, however I really don't care for the Mazdaspeed, as it winds up being just enough to piss me off power wise. Not enough to be fast, too much to be the 8/10ths all the time car that the suck air versions are. Voted cool.

I'd say at this point that I only like pop-up lights when they're down. I like the look of early MX-5s because of them just having the two slim sidelights rather than larger light units. It does look pretty goofy with the lights up, but it's a functional thing and the lights are only ever up at night or in bad weather, neither being a time when I'm just stood outside looking at the car...
